It wasn’t the conservatives. It was the liberal wing, the same ones that Trump is courting. He only posed as a conservative - he’s never been a conservative anything, either Dem or Republican.
He has more conservative positions than anyone in the race. He's a patriot. He's proven that for the past 30 years.
Maybe he gets this wrong or that wrong in soundbites. I get that. What I don't get is the shiv you want to thrust into his side for emerging as a Patriotic American in the days when that moniker is all but shunned.
If the border is not closed, if our security as a nation not defended, we are done. We are no better off than Europe.
WE have been bitching about this for 30 years. After 9/11, we KNEW the borders would be secure, I mean it would be treasonous not to. Here we sit in 2016, open borders and importing Islamic fighters.
For me, it's time we elect a Patriot. It's way past time...
