You can be for states rights and be opposed to this law. They are not mutually exclusive.

He would be inconsistent if he said the federal government should pass a law making this illegal. He did not, he just pointed out how stupid the law is.

And that's a dang powerful commercial. Bet you a buck Trump tries to change the subject or renounce position before tomorrow morning.

Then Cruz needs to clarify which states’ rights he is for and which he is not. For instance he has clearly stated that he is for states’ rights for gay marriage.

I will guarantee you that Cruz will be asked about all these social issue state laws, again and again and again, if he’s the nominee. The media is being nice to him because hes’ trying to block Trump. The gloves will come off in the general.

If he’s consistent, he’ll have to back these laws like he backs gay marriage. But something tells me he will try to get away with being inconsistent. He is the master of situational ethics.
