No state in the coming weeks of the Republican presidential contest is viewed by the campaigns as more consequential than Indiana and none has been a bigger black hole for polling, where not a single public survey of the states electorate has been released.
But that doesnt mean there havent been polls, especially with a heated Republican Senate primary in Indiana. Their findings just havent been revealed. Until now. ------------------------------
One survey, completed on April 12, had Ted Cruz and Donald Trump in a statistical tie: 32 percent to 32 percent, with John Kasich, governor of neighboring Ohio, a distant third, with 14 percent.
A second survey also had Trump and Cruz tied, but that was a change from three weeks earlier, when Cruz had led outside the margin of error.
A third survey, from last week, had Trump ahead of Cruz, outside the margin of error.

Here is a commercial Cruz has put out about Donald Trump regarding Men peeing next to girls. It looks like he thinks it is a winning issue. I know I do.

Did Ted point out that the question was about one of his own supporters?
Ted decide which pedal to step on when he saw Caitlyn in the mirror?
If trump answered any other way, You and Ted would be the first to whine and lie that Trump doesn’t allow Cruz supporters to use his bathrooms.
I’m more impressed by the Cruz strategy of coming in third over and over again as a way to win the nomination
Cruz has said many times that he is for states’ rights, and 19 states have laws allowing transgender people to pick their bathroom. Therefore, we can only surmise that the consistent conservative must be for transgender men using girls’ bathrooms, just like he’s for gay marriage if the states approve it.
For him to make this ad is the worst kind of hypocrisy, but then, I’m getting used to Cruz’s consistent hypocrisy.
Those private polls
It is an interesting strategy for sure. Will be even more painful for Trump followers when Cruz wins on second ballot.
He would be inconsistent if he said the federal government should pass a law making this illegal. He did not, he just pointed out how stupid the law is.
And that's a dang powerful commercial. Bet you a buck Trump tries to change the subject or renounce position before tomorrow morning.
No one is saying that can’t happen either. Unlikely, Cruz has been organized to run for president since 2014 at the earliest. He has chosen the delegates he has won with care.
Repeating the same nonsense over and over won’t make it true.
See a psychiatrist. You really need it.
“A third survey, from last week, had Trump ahead of Cruz, outside the margin of error.”
That’s the money quote, which , of course, doesn’t match the headline. This was taken before Cruz was mathematically eliminated, and we’ve seen his support cratering all over the place since Tuesday. This lead should widen in the next few weeks as Trump wins primary after primary and word gets out to even LIVs that a vote for Cruz is a vote for a contested convention.
If he's naked, I'm guessing it would be pretty easy to tell whether his claims are real.
Therefore, by the same logic Cruz supporters have used to attack Trump, Cruz also is for allowing grown men to pee next to little girls.
Surely, you've read that Trump is fine with transgender bathroom rights by now. Or did you just hit the vodka bottle a little earlier than usual?
You can’t refute my point so you hurl insults. Typical.
Cruz has said he is for states’ rights on gay marriage. He has emphasized, again and again, that he supports states’ rights. 19 states allow transgendered people to choose their bathroom. Therefore, by Cruz’s own repeated assertion, he must support transgendered people choosing their bathroom.
How ‘bout you hurl some logic this time, instead of feces? Assuming you can.
Larry Kudlow, who was with the OMB under Reagan, likes Trump’s tax plan, which was released months ago and includes cuts to individual taxes and a large cut to the corporate tax rate to make us competitive world wide and a plan to close the hedge fund manager loophole. The plan is online if anybody’s interested.
Excellent analysis. Hopefully, after Mr. Trump sweeps all 5 states next Tuesday, Cruz’ poll numbers will further erode.
It looks like a semblance of a bandwagon effect is taking place with TDS relenting. Also, it would be awesome to have Gov. Pence endorse Trump, who BTW could be a VP candidate.
Maybe just in time for the Indiana primary!
They have my blessing to raise taxes on people who don’t pay taxes. Make everyone pay, and suddenly you will get people interested in cutting government spending that have never cared before.
It doesn’t matter if he still has male “parts”. All he has to say is he feels like a woman. Doesn’t have anything to do with what parts he or she may have.
Then Cruz needs to clarify which states’ rights he is for and which he is not. For instance he has clearly stated that he is for states’ rights for gay marriage.
I will guarantee you that Cruz will be asked about all these social issue state laws, again and again and again, if he’s the nominee. The media is being nice to him because hes’ trying to block Trump. The gloves will come off in the general.
If he’s consistent, he’ll have to back these laws like he backs gay marriage. But something tells me he will try to get away with being inconsistent. He is the master of situational ethics.
In my southern end..sadly Democrat Mayor area....Not one sign for any three in sight.
Congress campaign MAIL every day...Two Trump calls and Two Pence phone calls...
