NBC's Hallie Jackson reports Cruz has changed his focus to Pennsylvania and making a play for the state's unbound delegates. Jackson, the network's Cruz correspondent, said even if Cruz has a third place finish in Pennsylvania's Republican primary, he'll win more than half the delegates.
"It's very telling that's Ted Cruz tonight is not in Brooklyn or Manhattan or any of the boroughs or state. He's in Pennsylvania," reported Jackson.
"He'll be in Philly for his watch party tonight," Jackson said. "That's indicative of where he and his campaign see this race going, to Pennsylvania, where they are looking to make a play for these unbound delegates. Even if they come in a distant third, a top campaign aide tells me, they will still, they believe, pick up more than half the delegates there."
"They're looking at more than 30," Jackson said.
Pennsylvania allots 71 delegates in the Republican primary; 54 of which are unbound.

primaries getting dull ...
Trump wins WA and OR ?
who is the conservative Senator he selects as his running mate? or does he go with Kasich?
Talked with an insurance lady today from Houston ... they hate Cruz in Texas
trumpettes have a ground game here. even signs on lawns.
I am sticking to local yocal.
Yes, the headline should have read ‘Cruz could still win a third of the delegates even if he comes in third’
;0)
Sounds like the Special Olympics approach - get participation points and rewards and then tell yourself (and others) that you “won” it/them.....Even when his shenanigans are over, he won’t be in a valid position to be nominated - Hillary will send him a Thank You card and invite him to dinner in the WH - he’ll eat in the kitchen with the other help.
Cruz’s appeal to a state’s unbound delegates is very compelling when he propagates on constitutional values, especially with regards to the independence of individual states to make and enforce their own laws. He is gaining traction by railing against the over reach of the federal leviathan.
With what now, 16 ‘debates’ or so? I have seen absolutely zero evidence that Ted is this great debater. None. Anyway, if Texas wants him they are welcome to him. Aside from some marginal support here I think the rest of the Country has decided he should end this year long vacation and get to the job he’s being paid to do. That is, unless the $inate has changed the locks.
If Trump wins PA these Cruz delegates better consider viability of Pat Toomey before going to the wall for a candidate with 700 (+/-) delegates.
But but he was in college just ask him. ;)
