This table will track how each of the remaining prospective Republican nominees is faring against Hillary Clinton based on 2016 polls. Click on the match-up to view the corresponding 2016 electoral map. From there, you can link to all the 2016 polls or view an interactive version of each map that allocates the unpolled states based on results from the 2012 election. Those projections are also shown in the table below, in the Polled + 2012 column and ordered Clinton-Republican-Toss Up.

This is based on state polling data comparing candidates in head to head match ups for the general election.
Horsefeathers.
Pure conjecture at this point.
You Guys Never Give up DO YOU?
Once again only Kasich beats Hillary and no one beats Sanders FWIW. The polls keeps saying the same thing over and over - will it change and in which direction?
Pure unadulterated bull sh!t. Trump will beat on her like a drum. Trump will get a lot of the blue collar union vote, a lot of the disgruntled Sanders supporters and a good portion of the Black vote. No way does Cruz or Kasich get those votes.
The other doesn't win a County in Florida, Ohio, Virginia that is an automatic loss
One more thing, Trump puts New York and Florida in play. Hell, Cruz or Kasich will loose those states.
meh......caveat at first of story is that polls this far out don’t mean anything
bump-a-rama
Trump puts New York and Florida in play
Perhaps. But, the Republicans cast a paltry 868,987 votes for 3 candidates in NY.
Democrats cast 1,817,552 for 2 candidates.
Trump finally achieved a majority - compared to a mere plurality in other contests, to win his home state.
No way is NY going Trump in the general...
“On the electoral votes to win the nomination, Trump is far behind Cruz or Kasich.”
But in real elections where real people have voted, Trump is far ahead of both combined. Exactly how does that work?
Tell me how does trump put NY in play? He only got five hundred thousand votes. Hillary got 1 million, and Bernie got 750,000. If Bernie loses the nomination, and just one third of his votes stay home, Hillary starts with a 1 million vote lead.
Lets say for devils advocate that Trump gets the nomination, and he picks up all the republican votes in the general. He is still short by half a million votes.
To ever come this you would have to come up with more republicans. However there are more Democrats as well. I don’t see Dems not voteing for the party to vote for Trump. I may be wrong, but I do not see it. Next we have the 3 million independents, trump would have to virtually win all of them outright. I don’t see that any more than I see him picking up dems. Because I have learned, up north Independent means communist.
Is the media still trying to push ‘Kasich is the only one who can win against Hillary’?
Kasich, who has only won ONE state. He is the only one who can beat Hillary. Suuuuuuuurrrrreeee he is.
If Trump is the nominee, the 2012 results go out the window. Trump’s base is as much from blue-collar and independents as Republicans. That messes up the whole demographics.
Because I have learned, up north Independent means communist.>>>> i would assume most of the registered “Conservative” party would also vote for trump if he wins. Are there any counts on these people? They couldn’t vote in the primary. one county has about 2% of the registered voters. so it’s a small number but should be added to the total.
Unenrolled voters don't get to vote in New York primaries. That means 3,000,000 did not vote. My guess, since they are not hard core Democrats, in a general election they will go with the home boy who is champion their interests, Trump.
I was going to post that it was only hopeless, Texas basket cases that still supported Cruz but then I saw you were suspended. Or was it one of those fake suspensions that people post to their home pages?
This election is going to be like Goldwater back in ‘64. Trump would be lucky to get 200 electoral votes. Hillary will be inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States on January 20, 2017.
