TMZ is reporting that Prince has died in Minnesota.
Princes publicist has confirmed the news to his hometown newspaper.

Yes, the purple dude could play a ton of instruments and was incredibly talented...probably more gifted musically than 98 % of what passes as popular music today. RIP.
Recently there was an article about somes daughter had been killed in a car crash. Someone here had to make a joke about it in very poor taste. My guess is they are liberal trolls who would act that way because it’s who yhey are.
Price also wrote some big hits for other artists without taking public credit.
He was only 57, too. Way too young. That's going to be my next one and life for me now feels like it's just getting started.
I enjoyed Purple Rain and liked a lot of his music, even when overplayed Prince tunes was standard fare on FM radio back then.
And now, yet another from the soundtrack of my youth has gone silent.
May he, and they all, rest well in peace.
Yeah, well, he does have to answer for "Nothing Compares 2 U", which foisted Shine-Head O'Connor on us.
Beginning of the end of music.
What a dumbass religion.
I worked with a guy and his wife died of some type of infection that was easily handled and cured but they refused to do anything about it.
He got remarried a few weeks later....strange
The original Time was actually called Flyte Time and the lead singer was Alexander O’Neal who Prince fired and had Morris Day brought in and renamed the band to The Time. The Minneapolis sound was it for a while in Funk...
OMG are you kidding?
But will Keith know any better?
As I just saw on Facebook...
“I’m beginning to suspect that George R. R. Martin is the author behind 2016.”
His death is less a news story about the unexpected demise of a very well-known and talented musician but more about the significance and priority this nation wrongly places on celebrity and the popular culture.
This is what it soudns like, when doves cry.
I really liked some of his music—little red corvette, 1999
I don't care what anyone says about me. I liked Prince and his music. Extremely talented, wrote top songs for other singers - people don't realize lots of popular pop songs were written by Prince for others. And he helped other budding artists with his studio.
The basketball game with “shirts” and “blouses”! LOL!
I had vaguely heard of him, but also can’t say that I have heard any of his music. Might have heard it as background noise without knowing whose it was.
He’s now in “a world of never ending happiness where you can always see the sun, day or night.” Prince’s after world sounds a lot like the North and South poles. RIP
The local brew, "Eichbaum" is German for Oak tree. Gawd, I could go for a few of those right now...
Probably not!!
