Not too sure about that. His listeners are much more aware of and pay a lot more attention to the political world than the average voter who doesn’t listen at all.

LOL! I’m not sure I have the fortitude to accept that as entertaining. You are made of sterner stuff than I am, apparently!
Jackson challenged the bankers and powers that be in the banking system. He was also looked down on by all the elitists of his day because he was not in their club. He did have some warts, but they used different measuring rods then than we use today. It is so very easy to judge from a sense of self-righteousness, but imho that is a trap. I think we should certainly seek the lessons and see what might have been better... and then try to go forward DOING better! But that’s just me.
What concerns me most is the move by the left and power elite to gradually erase real American History - warts and all. We all NEED to know our past both the good and shining moments and especially the warts.

I’ve got four flag poles.
I had two ancestors in Jackson’s army at the Battle of New Orleans. Well, one was with Jackson, the other was one of Lafitte’s pirates.
Another ancestor was a Tennessee neighbor of Jackson’s and served as an elector. He went on to settle in land opened up by the Treaty of Dancing Rabbit Creek, part of the infamous Indian Removal Act.
As a result of this I am a political criminal by inheritance and an enemy of the Obama-Limbaugh Alliance Against Andrew Jackson. Screw them.
I’m actually enjoying his discussion of the culture wars and the reading of this guy’s work about that topic.
The right lost the culture war long since.
Trump represents a candidate who is able to fight back against the destructive nature of the left - and gets away with it.
Rush states that the document he was reading to us is very esoteric. He summarizes: The left has won the culture war by turning the free market against the right. (Pizzeria says they won’t serve gays - gays come in and co-opts the free market system against them.) No one has known how to fight back. Corporations joined the left rather than defend the concept of freedom. We have now a grievance industry as the new freedom.
None of the LGBT stuff is rational. People don’t know how to stop it. The war has come to “it is US vs THEM.” How many of us have found it impossible to use logic with people and you cannot explain or persuade.
The left has shifted the whole battle from right vs wrong to us vs them. They have obliterated the concept of “right.” - or “Correct.”
I have flag poll envy.
