That’s ONE of the key contributors. First, second and third generation, born and bred in western countries, very much influenced by their (traditional) parents at home.
BUT, nothing is universal. some do and some don’t.
Same time or later, they’re influenced by their community, often very receptive to be infiltrated by the likes of AQ and IS, etc. This is further reinforced by mainstream western media and social media networks. All in all, they end up very confused, pulled in different directions, and alienated.
In the first instance, this comment from another thread almost has it:
