....it’s about leaving a home they have enjoyed long fellowship with because they are no longer “free” to disagree or express those differences, which has created heavy hearts and disappointment to many.

Nonsense!

The vituperations of the Cruz supporters is the ONLY thing driving them away. Cruz ALWAYS had widespread support here on FreeRepublic, but when that support turns as vindictive and disloyal as many have been, lightning flashes.

I guarantee you the only reason any of the nasty stories about Cruz get any traction around here is because the abuse heaped on Trump supporters by Cruz supporters has been unprecedented, and its victims have grabbed any rock they can find to throw back... and this is coming from someone who has been actively FReeping for more than seventeen years.

That is probably the most delusional thing I’ve ever read.

The Trump supporters are the majority here and the will viciously attack any Cruz supporter daring to post.

I’m not talking about refuting the Cruz supporters ideas or points, but silly and vicious personal attacks.

Look, I’ve been the recipient of those so don’t even go there.

This, unfortunately, is what I’ve come to see as well. I was reading today the ‘other site’ which some people left here to create, and they’re actually making fun of Trump supporters as having ‘low IQs’. That doesn’t bear out my experience of the many very intelligent and eloquent supporters of Trump. It also isn’t very fair to the hundreds who have engaged in these discussions without ever becoming nasty, but have nevertheless been on the receiving end of unprovoked nastiness.

I cannot understand that people will take politics so much to heart that they become mean toward others because of it. It’s ridiculous, and very small. One would think that those of ‘elevated IQ’ would know better, and be too intelligent to succumb to the uselessness of ‘throwing rocks’ back.

The problem is that Trump supporters keep transferring Trump’s own weaknesses onto Cruz....Just like Trump does. Though I don’t expect them to see this but it’s quite clear and easily seen.

Interesting is I’ve also noted some of his supporters are referencing Trump as “Mr. Trump”....something which he demands all who work for him call him....
