He’s been calling the shots on his own so far. While giving the finger to the Repugs.

But when the full attention of the Clinton Machine is turned 100 percent on Trump; will he not need any support from insider Republicans?

I say he will. He better kiss ass and get in line. Adopting Jim Rob’s approach of “Eff the GOP-e” will not work.

I think you slipped up there. "Repugs" is a phrase traditionally employed by 'RATs, liberals and their leftist fellow travelers. Curious you would use that term.

But when the full attention of the Clinton Machine is turned 100 percent on Trump; will he not need any support from insider Republicans?

How much support has Trump needed from those 'insiders' when he slashed Hillary like Mack the Knife when she started getting uppity about that 'war on women' crapola? Trump bitch-slapped her by bringing up her sexual predator spouse and that shut her pie hole right up.

I say he will. He better kiss ass and get in line. Adopting Jim Rob’s approach of “Eff the GOP-e” will not work.

I'll go with JimRob's approach before giving any credence to your prognostications, his skills at political analysis are second to none.

Yours?

More like second to last.

Work on it.

I don’t see Trump kissing ass in the way most would-I’d bet real money on him making a more advantageous deal than that, given that he is in business. I’ll howl with glee if that deal involves that useless little wuss Priebus being smacked down and shamed by publicly telling him “you’re fired”...

We can of course agree to disagree.

Trump is wily, never say die, plays to win and is fighting for America. He’s not kissing any GOP posteriors. If they think they have him sewn down, they better check their rears.

When Trump talks about needing to deal, to get the legislature America needs to get back on track, he is signaling them that there may be something in it for them. They are unprincipled and what they want is fairly easy to supply: cover and some feeding. That may be the cost of doing business and I would happily see that happen if it allows us to have less debt, a wall, No Obamacare, No Common core, no unfunded mandates, no Dept of Ed, Vets treated with respect and honorably, etc etc etc.

Trump is not the kind of man they are used to. He has taken the publish & be dam*ed approach. There are no secrets they can use to bring him down; he is an open book. He has the connections to riffle through their closets and pick & chose the history/vulnerabilities that will make them willing to deal. He will not hesitate to call them out before the American people on their shady dealings.

Not pretty but when you need to clean the stables you need to get in the muck. I have zero respect for Congress, zero respect for the GOP, very little respect for several of the Supremes and I want to see America go back to her roots of small Government with all of the rights not enumerated reserved for the States.
