But suppose he wins. He manages to get by on the first or second ballot. Then will he have the guts of many FReepers here to tell the Republicans to go eff themselves?
Either way - I would love to see that. Even though that would hand Hillary the election.
And what does Trump do then? Go back to his penthouse apartment and trophy wife, and kiss and make up with the powers that be to protect his assets?

I think he’d have to wait until he was sworn into office to do that. Remember, these political parties are PRIVATE organizations who make and change their rules at their whim.
If he tells them that too early, they may very well “rescind” his nomination. God knows they’ve done worse before.
