Internal campaign memo projects Trump will win 1,400+ delegates to secure nomination on first ballot in Cleveland.
The Washington Post reports:
Donald Trump's campaign advisers believe the billionaire mogul is emerging as the "prohibitive favorite" in the Republican presidential race and project that he will accumulate more than 1,400 delegates to secure the nomination on the first round of balloting at the party's Cleveland convention, according to an internal campaign memorandum.
The projections come in a memo distributed to Trump surrogates late Tuesday night containing talking points for use in media interviews this week. The memo, obtained by The Washington Post, describes Trump's commanding win in the New York primary as "YUGE" and encourages his supporters to speak out about what Trump has described as a "rigged" process of selecting delegates for the Republican National Convention in July.
The memo refers to the campaign's staff shakeup, with campaign manager Corey Lewandowski's power diminished and newly-hired adviser Paul Manafort assuming broad control over the campaign's strategy and its enhanced budget. It reads, "Building out our campaign staff to make sure we leave no stone unturned and that we can win this thing on the up and up not through a rigged set of rules."

Seriously you think Cruz can beat Hillary. GOPe may create a way at the convention for him to be the nominee. But he will never beat Hillary.
Or was that the intent all along. GOPe will gladly sit at the kids table and eat whatever Scraps the Dem throw them. Rather than for once they try to Lead this Country.
Our side gets delegates the old fashioned way - we EARN them through VOTERS. American citizens.
From and by you for the record and suggests Donald Trump becomes someone he is not and via that route beats Hillary.
You sound like an MSM reporter and Hillary supporter.
Folks, I’ve been running the math constantly-—it’s difficult because you never know on some of the splits (what the hell do I know about Rhode Island?)
But just going by current/previous splits and/or polling, my numbers have had Trump at a SOLID 1170 and a high of 1300. So it wouldn’t surprise me with a bandwagon effect to see him get to 1400 easy.
They know something! They must have accumulated the delegates!!!
GO TRUMP!!
You sound like someone who can’t formulate an intelligent reply.
HUGE !YUGE !
Most of the women I know are so eager to see Hillary in orange they are willing to sew the orange pants suit for her.
My only change is suggesting the benefit of filling in the details that the political establishments hide by applying macro economic analysis--that is aggregating the data--to hide the actual, very, very real effect on rooted American communities from the individual factors involved.
Donald's business expertise is very much an example of how well he understands the actual economics of individual deals. He is also a charismatic figure. He is perfectly adapted to follow such an approach, as we urge.
I think you got it.
People in business earn the business. Politicians steal it.
“In a half hour broadcast, in a fatherly, not argumentative manner....”
That’s not him and that’s not happening.
IMO, as Trump continues to rack up the delegates, he will assume the aura of a winner, and people who might have voted for Cruz or Kasich will want to be associated with a perceived winner and go for him.
To me, it hurts Cruz that Kasich beats him out, since he was a strong second place.
Many don’t vote their convictions, just wannabe with a winner.
When Trump nears the magic number, I suspect there will be a rush by the remaining voters and suddenly push the numbers way over the needed amount.
You may be right. We’ll know soon enough. I just think they’re gaming people to try and stampede the herd. Which of course might very well work. I just think the opposition to Trump have (they are plural with several agendas) a few more cards to play between now and the convention.
Here
LOL!!!
Thanks.
