That is why I am trying to persuade him. It accomplishes several pragmatic goals via the same vehicle.
If Trump succeeds in closing the borders, ending refugee inflow from the Middle East, and deports or causes to self-deport many of the tens of millions of illegals THEN he will have made the continued existence of a conservative movement in the USA possible, and created conditions where the GOP can continue.
If someone who will grant amnesty, continue to leave the borders wide open the demographics of the USA will quickly change to the point that there is no hope for the GOP at a national level. And, assuming the various policies of Obama to force minorities into every hollow, village and county in America even the remnants of the real American system will quickly be subsumed.
Every state in America has gay marriage now. Much more like that to come. No State will stand against the liberal/socialist/multicultural onslaught.
Ann Coulter wrote an excellent book on this topic
Ann Coulter’s “Adios, America” is a must read!
I keep hearing, “when properly presented”. Sorry, but I respectfully disagree. The demographics are changing fast. We are less religious and becoming more so every day. Someone like Cruz simply can’t win the female vote. And I’m not caving to anyone. While I don’t care for Cruz, there’s no way in hell I’ll vote for Trump. I’ve resigned myself to the simple fact that I don’t think a Republican can take the White House this year, not with the pitiful bunch of candidates we’ve put up.
Good point.
I will take the ‘substance’ free guy. You can have the persistent liar.
Heidi Cruz called. She said you need to send in another $100. Stealing an election ain’t cheap, yo.
It depends on your definition of "save".
From the viewpoint of the GOPE, who have been considering the GOP to be their personal fiefdoms, and profiting by having a cooperative arrangement with the Dems, where the Dems allow them to milk their positions to their personal benefit, Trump would be a disaster.
From the viewpoint of those of us who see demographic disaster on the horizon if the immigration of the world's underclass to here isn't curtailed, Trump is the only hope, although a slim one.
These rolling knee pads feature an adjustable seat height and angle for maximum comfort.
You missed a major step.
He has to win the election and not lose the House and Senate in the process.
With his negatives, that’s a tall wish.
The RNC has no intention of allowing either Trump or Cruz to be nominated in a brokered convention.
The RNC wouldn't mind Cruz getting the nomination since he has no chance of winning the general election. Just imagine what would happen when the media is no longer on his side. Cruz would be lucky to win more than a handful of states since the independents would go to the Democrats.
Trump does have a very good chance of winning the general so the RNC is coalescing behind Cruz.
My cuz is TEA Party, hard-core conservative - Absolutely elated at the victory in CO, where he is a delegate.
A friend's BIL, who I know, same thing in WY. I know many of the folks in ID grassroots, all TEA.
It is my hope that Cruz will take it right to the wall - A Tea Party president with TEA Party coattails... And it would be nostalgic for me to be able to pull the lever for a Republican for a change.
Well, if anyone has experience with knee pads, you’re the guy.
Same. I can’t continue voting for globalists who treat Americans like dogs. The party either reforms itself under Trump or I walk.
weak
I know, right? Maybe someday, Ted Cruz's voter turnout effort will improve.
OK, here is a serious question I asked Cruz supporters, but none ever answered. What states could Ted Cruz win that Mitt Romney lost?
Cruz's appeal seems very limited. He appeals to party functionaries and the most committed GOP loyalists, thus accounting for him winning tightly controlled caucuses and conventions like Colorado. He seem to have some appeal to evangelicals: he won Oklahoma.
I think Trump could put these states in play, much more so than Cruz, because he has made the Trade Treaties that have been devastating them central to his campaign: Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and perhaps Wisconson.
Trump won Florida, over the sitting Senator and ex-Governor.
Even if you disagree with Trump's policies doesn't it appear at this point that he has by far the best chance of actually winning. Maybe not a great chance, but a shot.
Compare the crowds coming to see Trump with Romney and McCain's anemic events. Cruz can't really put up anything like that.
The last two elections have been won by a media figure, Barack Obama. It's not clear that a "Mr. Clean Cut" like Romney can win in today's media environment. Trump is clearly the most attuned to the media.
Finally, like a lot of GOP voters I was just sickened by Romney's campaign. Did he *want* to lose? McCain might have been worse. (Only Palin actually went out and said some things that needed to be said.)
I have ZERO doubt that Trump will bring every hidden horror of Hillary's pathetic career into full view and dissection. I have doubts about whether Cruz would.
So, even from a purely tactical point of view I think there is a lot to be said about Trump as the candidate.
Last post you said “I don’t waste my time” but here you are again.
Have great joyously conservative day. I’ll leave that up to you for your own thought.
Colorado!!!
I’ve answered that stupid question a dozen times.
As of today’s news....delegates are going to easier to get.
Nobody wants PERVERTS in the same locker rooms or bathrooms with our children.
The liberal came flying out of Donald faster than that creature coming out of the stomach in the movie ALIEN!
Irony is so ironic.
