I was absent for the afternoon because hubby and I went to a friend's retirement party.

Stanley is a good friend of ours. As a teenager he came to the United States from Poland . Stanley lived in Poland under Communism. He learned to speak perfect English. He is well educated and became an engineer.

If you could talk to him he would tell you how he is extremely concerned about the direction of our Country and how some of our young people are even considering the "Democrat Socialist" Bernie Sanders or even Hillary Clinton. He fears the promises of free stuff can't be deliver without giving up our freedoms and opportunities. Once you don't follow the Constitution and the Bill of Rights you are at the mercy of whoever is in power. Once you give up these protections you don't get them back.

His family was fortunate to escape Communism , but if we give up our rights and our Country and our influence in the world there will be nowhere to go. He will be the first to admit our Country is not perfect , but there is no where else he would be.

We can learn from someone who has experienced life under total Government control without living it our self.
