It's not the lemonade stand comment that exposes his stupidity. That's regular 'ol politics.
It's his assertion that Trump has "lost" 5 elecctions.
Everyone in America knows that's not true because there were not 5 elections that awarded him all those delegates.
Excepting Wisconsin, where 1.1 million of the 1.3 million voters he cites actually voted, the other 4 states were precinct, up to state level delegate "elections" where the party regulars and insiders set the rules, timing, venues etc.
They are DESIGNED to exclude the broader Republican electorate.
And now everyone in America knows it, and they associate such exclusionary methods with Cruz.
He'll NEVER be able to wash that stench off of him.
Never.
Whereas if he had just said: "Hey, those are the rules that were set up. I don't agree with these state parties who excluded their voters. I will work with everyone who is concerned about this, including Donald Trump, after the convention in July to change it to a broadly inclusive, binding, election process. But I am in this race to win, so I participated with a superior organization and won these delegates. "
Instead, he bragged on these "landslides" and conflated the 1.1 mil actual voters in Wisconsin with an inside, exclusionary party process in the other 4...and defended their method.
That's what makes him stupid.
Don't tell what everyone in the country believes to be a lie when your nickname is already Lyin' Ted.
That's stupid right there, I don't care who you are.
Wow! Well, we can’t call YOU stupid. You should either be running his campaign or his spokesman. You, sir, are brilliant!
The Cruz campaign called me to go to the Caucus here. Clearly the Trump campaign did not call their people: virtually none showed up.
That’s not insiders; that’s not “the party”. We actually iced-out an insider so that he couldn’t represent our District to State. We voted a pure Cruz slate, excluding Trump and excluding party big-wigs who happen to live near us.
Trump’s team could have done the same. Had they worked.
