In conventional conservative doctrine, the mainstream press and much of the new media are little more than arms of Democratic Party officialdom. Also, bigotry and misogyny are no longer widespread problems, in the rights tellingand to the extent that they still exist, they are no more prevalent on the right than on the left.
In their efforts to stop Trump, conservatives have sidelined these and other premises about American political culture, so that the generic liberal critique of conservatism might be deployed against him and him alone.

National Review ceased being a conservative outfit during the administration of Bush the Elder. It became a voice for neocons and the GOP establishment. And now it is trying to move to the left of that.
Trump, as a successful businessman, has played all sides of the fence...
Rove has finally admitted he supports Trump and Trump was a Romneyite from 2012.
“Bush lied people died.”
True, and he is still lying and hurting the conservative causes.
“Corporations and financial institutions are the cause of our problems”
You mean like GE?
Or Goldman Sachs?
Or Disney?
Or Facebook?
Or Google?
” Planned Parenthood does good things.”
When (date) Trump said this? If true and recent, he failed badly on this!
“International trade and trade agreements are bad”
He said OUR negotiated trade deals are bad. They don’t even qualify as bad. They are destroying the economic future of America.
On out of 4 is an F bud!
Perhaps those who with their lips professed conservative doctrines are really leftist in their behavior.
“ Planned Parenthood does good things.

Are you serious you didn’t hear this?
Four lies in a row. Congratulations.
Anti-Trump “conservatives” are mostly on the payroll of The Cheap Labor Express
“Anti-Trump conservatives are mostly on the payroll of The Cheap Labor Express”
EXACTLY
You mean the Rove who is “warming to” Trump?
I’ve thought a lot about this: everything that the GOPe says about Trump, the MSM/Dems say about them.
This election cycle certainly has redefined what Conservatism means.
Trump is not liberal...he is not conservative...He isn’t republican or democrat...He is a successful businessman who sees this country going downhill with brakes and he knows his businesses can follow right along...He sees this as the only to protect his businesses and get America back on track...
If you don’t see this, you need to open your eyes and your mind...
withOUT brakes.....
“so he can satisfy his overly ambitious ego and power trip”
Says the person supporting a guy whose entire candidacy, nay, whose entire life’s biography, can be summed up as an attempt to “satisfy his overly ambitious ego and power trip”.
So there we have it.
Invading Iraq was a wise idea based on a valid premise. We halted that Iraqi Manhattan Project in its tracks and destroyed their ICBM complex and their transcontinental heavy bomber fleet.
Financial firms had nothing to do with the housing bubble and they deserved all of the money that they received to bail them out. Taxpayer money well spent.
Planned Parenthood- well that one can’t be mocked.
Trade agreements that grant unlimited access to our market while allowing our competitors to use non-tariff barriers are A Good Thing. We are all richer because of them. Outsourcing is A Good Thing. Insourcing is A Good Thing. Americans don’t want jobs anyway and won’t work hard when they have them.
The koolaid is very tasty.
Sure, how about this one?
“Planned Parenthood has done very good work for many, many for millions of women”
Tinfoil much?
