Ted Cruz isn't messing around. Donald Trump is probably going to come up just short of the number of delegates to win the Republican nomination on the first ballot and it's mostly Cruz's fault.
Cruz and his campaign team have been working the delegate selection system hard, and grabbing delegates wherever they can find them. From the beginning of the campaign, his outfit has shown itself to be one of the most-savvy, technologically well-equipped, and hardest working units in politics today. It is as if his campaign is saying, "Sure, Donald Trump may end up with more votes by the end, but we will have the delegates, the institutional support, the donor support, and the working knowledge to run a national campaign. Trump won't."

Cruz has been building his ground team since 2014. Trump still hasn’t started. Or perhaps just recently he did.
The way Cruz and his supporters have been trashed by Trump and his followers I doubt it any of them would give him a vote at the convention.
The lack of a ground game is a very serious consideration in this election. Hillary has the entire Demo ground team, Bernie has an excellent team also.
Trump thinks he can win because of his personality. I think he does not have filters and it may cost him the general election. All it takes is one bad comment. Just one, and he is finished in the general.
If the other guy is the nominee, no one will ever hear anything he says, except for his thousands of supporters.
Let me guess...you've never actually read the Constitution, have you? It says no such thing. This is the entirety of what it says about presidential qualifications:
"No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."
Do you see the word "parent" or "parents" in there anywhere? Of course you don't.
Show me where my statement is false
Cruz is burning bridges with the voters, no way to win in November without us. It will be pretty hard for him to convince voters he is the lesser of the two evils.
He has made it clear, he doesn’t care about the will of the people and will not represent us.
>>It will be pretty hard for him to convince voters he is the lesser of the two evils.<<
Cruz’s first hires after being nominated should come from the ranks of those who deprogram people caught in the grip of cult leaders. There will be plenty for them to do.
You apparently don't know lawyers.
so what is the difference between a natural born citizen and a citizen? Why did they put that wording there? Does it mean anything other than citizen?
Nope, the constitution does NOT say “parents”. It’s not hard to do research on this issue.
Yep but what did they understand Natural Born Citizen to mean? Did they just pull this term out of thin air? No they didn’t. They didn’t want any foreign royalty having any claim to the presidency, plain and simple. This term means something in English law
As I first said, 50 states and several judges have ruled that Cruz has NBC status, as his mother was an American citizen under the US law.
So my question to you is do you think that any foreign national can have a child by an American and that child should be eligible to run for president here? So if Putin has a child by a maid in a hotel who is an American, it’s alright with you and everyone else that that child is eligible to run for president? Seriously?
“So my question to you is do you think that any foreign national can have a child by an American and that child should be eligible to run for president here?”
As long as there was no cover up as to who the person was and the events of their birth (aka Obama) then yes, Americans would have the choice to vote for that person if they went through the process to become nominated.
