Eighty percent of the unaccompanied children were sent to sponsors who were not here legally
LOS ANGELES — The vast majority of immigrant children who arrive alone at the U.S. border are placed by the government with adults who are in the country illegally, federal data reviewed by The Associated Press show.
The government has long said that it places the children with family and friends regardless of immigration status. But since more children began arriving on the border in 2014, officials have not revealed how often those sponsors lack legal papers.
In response to a Freedom of Information Act request, the Department of Health and Human Services provided data showing that 80 percent of the 71,000 mostly Central American children placed between February 2014 and September 2015 were sent to sponsors who were not here legally.

Gee that doesn’t seem to help the “we can’t deport them because we can’t find them” argument.
So ya don’t gotta be a rockit scientist.
1) Barge the U.S. border, set up housekeeping in El Lay
2) Since you left the Cheeldren behind, make sure to call your Bueno Amigo Manny and tell him to get the kids across at Mexicali
3) Make sure they get caught.
4) Call HHS when they do, and tell them you want the kiddies with you in LA. Make sure to sob a lot.
5) Go down to Federal Building and get all forms you need for all Bennies, have them filled out by Spanish speaking “helper”, and when the kids show up, you’re on! The kids will never be deported and neither will you!
You are now a de facto citizen, and the gravy will never stop comin’!
The way these children were handed out to people with no documentation or background checks, I wonder how many are now being abused or sold into the sex trade.
And the sponsors never have to work again either. The government pours money in to suppoert them all. Free healthcare, food stamps, housing, and childcare. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and tax refunds up the wazzooooo.
