“I have no confidence in the court.

It was really the last branch of our government that I had any trust. That is gone.”

The truth is that isn’t the branches of government that are untrustworthy, it’s the people currently in them. And it’s our job to get them ALL out! Where the SCOTUS is concerned, they positions have to be changed so that they are not lifetime appointlments. The SCOTUS has become unaccountable to the citizenry. That can’t continue. Here in Caiifornia, our Supreme Court Justices have to stand before the voters every so many years. We got rid of a female Chief Justice (Rose Elizabeeth Bird, a Jerry the Fairy appointee) because she was rotten to the core. We need to have that same ability witht the SCOTUS.

I agree that justices should be held accountable to the people. But since that’s not the case, I continue to not trust even this branch of our government.

It's really the branch of government that our forefathers trusted least...because there was no check.

Cases that say slaves can be owned...or that babies can be killed....pretty much say it all.

In this day and age of longevity, its ludicrous to have someone serving in a lifetime appointment. If the USSC justices had any respect for our democracy they would willingly step down after 20 years. But they hang on forever.
