Trump Soars in Latest CA, NY, CT, MD, PA Polls |
||
Those who had written off Donald Trump need to reconsider things in light of recent polls in five states. Trump has soared in the latest polls in California, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In no recent polls of upcoming state primaries did Trump lose ground. State by state, lets take a look.
California In the latest poll by YouGov, Trumps margin soared to 28 percentage points over Cruz, up from 9-10 percentage point in the two preceding polls. This was barely enough to tip the state to Trump’s category from Cruz in Silver’s Secret Sauce methodology, but in Polls only things are looking might good for Trump. Hey Bill Buckley actually BELONGED to the CFR. Explains a lot, huh? To the fever swamp, go!
We vote for the delegates by name, so it’s as democratic as it gets. The one in my district who’s backing Cruz won as a delegate in 2012 too. More power to him this time!
Boy, you are just a big pile of mainstream media brainwashing, aren’t you?
Sorry, but playing the race card upthread was enough for me.
I really don’t care what you have to say, just pointing out that you’re kinda using liberal talking points. And if you believe them? Whooooo.
Anyone who talks crap about a great pro-America organization like John Birch Society is a globalist.
GTFO? Get the fur out? Get the flab out? Get the fight on! Grab the French Onion soup? Go to formulate obfuscation? Whoops! Oh, no! Say it isn't so! If I am right, Southern ladyhood ain't what it used to was and Trump and the Trumponic Plague are party to yet more social decline. If Cruz drops out now, maybe his critics are right but that won't make a gentleman of Trump whose own far more classy wife and daughters plead in vain with him to civilize his act. OK then!
Do you feel better now about Cruz’s impending exit from the race? :-)
In the Norwalk, CT, American Opinion Bookstore about 40 years ago, there was a nice dotty old lady who drove a Chevelle literally covered with Bircher bumper stickers to such an extent that no paint was visible. She occupied a wooden rocker inside the store and rocked back and forth cackling that: I told you Bill Buckley is a communist!" in response to anything and everything said in her presence. It was her response if you observed that the sky was blue or that the Yankees won today's baseball game or that Tricky Dick was going to see Chairman Mao or that SCOTUS had legalized babykilling. Always: "Cackle, cackle, cackle: I told you Bill Buckley is a communist!!!!"
Another JBS character at that book store was a nice and polite then 70 year old gentleman who vowed that before he died of stomach cancer, he was going to strap on a serious bomb and detonate himself after invading a CFR meeting in NYC to take the maximum number of CFR miscreants with him to judgment. He called this his last service to America. No one, not even I discouraged him but we did not take him very seriously either. I note that he would be 110 or more if still alive which seems unlikely and that no CFR meetings have been blown up to date. Maybe he died of a stroke or a heart attack unexpectedly.
Hang around enough of them for long enough and you can smell the nut fudge cooking up through the cracks in SOME of their skulls. In fairness, there was also a decidedly not nutty group of thoroughly urbane oil company executives, a very fine and prominent political science professor of my acquaintance and led by a very sensible woman whose own occupation was selling Dutch Masters paintings. She had about a dozen of those paintings in her home when I was invited to attend a meeting which featured an actual John Wayne JBS training film. I asked the professor whether the meeting was of the JBS and he confirmed that it was. I believe it was he who invited me. I have no disrespect for Mr. Welch or for any of the particpants at that meeting. They were also raising substantial money for former JBS executive and Congressman John Schmitz's POTUS campaign (ca. 1972). "When you're out of Schmitz, you're out of gear!"
JBS members tend to be world class Globullists! And no one cleans their stables. Most never tidy up their minds. It's sad really. They had a brief chance to be relevant under Larry McDonald but the soviets literally murdered him and all the passengers on KAL 007. JBS folks are nice folks mostly but not terribly effective. Many have their hearts but not necessarily their heads in the right place.
If you disagree, I will survive!
Hispanics vote around 60% Democrat. That a few pockets of conservative Hispanics exist here and there doesn't alter the political impact of allowing millions of Mexicans to become citizens. In fact, aside from Cubans, no significant immigrant group votes Republican. Some of the worst left wing activists I know are Canadian immigrants. That's why I want a total shutdown of immigration, not just from Mexico, from everywhere. Europe, Canada, Australia, all of them can stay put.
If he exits which is no certainty and not even a probability, that only means that the nation is in the hands of the malevolent or the incompetent for four more years. So that would be a definite NO! if your dream of coronation for the Emperor Trump as GOP nominee should (God forbid!) come to pass, I will not “feel better” unless and until I see some unlikely sign of manners, decent language or competence from the Manhattan false idol with clay feet.
I think its Felito Cruz the 7th king of Dominionism who is hoping to be coronated. Trump just wants to make America great again. :-)

The mere fact that you gave the decidedly non-hysterical and probably minimalist 60% number for Hispanics voting Democrat PROVES that you are not one of the offenders in this second respect. You may not be comfortable with the volume of immigration much less the volume of illegal immigration but you don't torture the truth to make a point. I can respect that and even agree that we have all too many immigrants right now and need to shut it down generally. My great grandfather was a member of the Canadian Parliament for 17 years encompassing the WW I era. My grandfather (his son) apparently left Canada despite his father's wealth because he had a bellyful of his father and of Canada. His father's mansion is now the town museum. My grandfather died in the Spanish Influenza in 1918 and my great grandfather died a year or two before I was born. I have never felt the need to communicate with those long alienated Canadian relatives who survive.
BTW, I assume that you share the belief that importing J. Random Muslim from such blood bowls as Syria, Iraq, Sudan, etc. retires the trophy for stupidity and the Demonrats are the permanent winners entitled to full "credit" at the funeral of each American victim of Islamofascist terrorism.
You really hate America. Why don't you emigrate and bask in the vibrant wonder of the Phillipines? That will minimize your contact with lazy Americans.
I will refrain from calling you Brunhilda of Buchenwald because that would be no more true than that "Felito" slur.
Correction: Trump SAYS he wants to make America great again! He cadged that slogan from Ronaldus Maximus who actually meant it and did it. You can give Trump similar credit in the unlikely event that he ever actually EARNS it.
Actions speak louder than words. AND The road to hell is paved with good intentions. AND St. John Chrysostom (a bishop himself) observed that the floor of hell is paved with the skulls of bishops.
On issues Hispanics are mostly liberal. Hoping that their Catholic faith will make them socially conservative is like hoping that Pope Francis is, deep down, really a conservative. It just doesn't pan out. Immigrants generally reflect the culture of their country of origin. The United States has a unique culture of liberty, especially when it comes to freedom of religion, speech and self defense. We could limit immigration to hardcore anti-communists from Russia, Cuba and Eastern Europe, but that's a pipe dream.
Well Honey buns I don’t think Felito’s family or Felito himself views his nickname as a smear.
Let’s try to deal in reality for a minute and recognize that a good portion of the GOP voting base views Ted Cruz as a slightly creepy Mr. Haney with a Messianic complex. Not a winning combo as Cruz’s poll numbers consistently show. couple that with dirty trix and you have a sure loser on your hands. Cruz is about out of gas and will thankfully soon be gone from the race.
You have a special problem with Filipinos? My primary care physician is a very sharp Filipino immigrant. His wife is also a doctor. Both are uberCatholics. Their kids are admitted to Harvard as Valedictorians of the High School classes and not as Affirmative action babies. My Cardiologist is also a young uberCatholic with a family whose main non-professional pastime is Eucharistic adoration and a damn good doctor too. A lot of my kidney dialysis is handled by a lovely Filipino nurse who came here from her homeland and spends her life (a single woman though she must have had numerous offers) caring for Americans, including the poor being treated on Medicare. Should I disrespect any of these Filipinos for caring for my health?
Our shortage of nurses is not as bad as our shortage of doctors, scientists, mathematicians, engineering yet but since self-esteem has replaced substantive academic work under Common Core, we will soon be short of everything but welfare recipients or are you an enthusiast for gummint skewels like PS 666?
I note that you are still honest enough NOT to claim that American students are eager for tough majors needed in our country and which pay very well indeed. Immigrants do stoop labor in our agricultural fields that Americans won't do. Increasingly, there are other immigrants working hard to qualify as doctors, engineers, mathematicians, scientists.
I am not just accusing others. More than fifty years ago when I entered college, I was intimidated by the hard sciences which held less interest for me than did my girlfriend and my friends. Drinking and drugs I avoided but snuggling with the girlfriend beat the heck out of studying advanced calculus. I had made the grave error of embarking on a math major. That lasted at least two weeks before I surrendered and turned first to accounting and then to history. My math professor was an elderly priest who designed mainframe computers for IBM as a hobby and turned the substantial payments over to the Jesuit order. The Jesuit University that I started at sent fully 98% of its pre-med students to Medical School.
Like many of my contemporaries and like many since, I found the hard sciences to be no fun and that pursuing them would be a definite crimp in my social life. I retrieved my higher education by being something of a star history major and an adequate law school student to graduate, pass the bar and practice for decades. Therefore, I cannot minimize my contacts with lazy Americans. I are one.
I cannot be accused of sitting idly by while that good portion of the Republican base has gone full nuthouse. I doubt that anyone here will accuse me of being overly silent or bashful about my views. How are Trump's poll numbers against Comrade Grandma and Comrade Grandpa? Gee, that's too bad!
If no Cruz and no Walker, I look forward to a restful year when no real victory is possible and Trump (notice I use his actual name or his preferred nickname The Donald) is only marginally better than the left Demonrats. After all, he spent his whole life as one until he decided to screw up the GOP campaign by playing a "Republican" on TV. Imhotep! Imhotep! Imhotep!
This is a cheap labor lobby lie. There is no STEM shortage. There's just corporate lobbying to drive down STEM wages. Most Americans with STEM degrees work outside their fields.
