What is wrong with whomever has the most votes wins the delegates and whomever has the most delegates wins the nomination?

Because we want a candidate who is acceptable to, as a minimum, a majority of the party. Is that hard to understand?

Imagine what happens next time, under your rules. We have 5 candidates who get votes and delegates and we have to automatically nominate the guy with 22% of the votes.

Think objectively.

So cruz is acceptable to the establishment, ok why tell the voters to vote and why tell the candidates to campaign, what a waste of money.

I think you should think about this objectively.

I’m not going to even try to say that I am an expert on delegates, or exactly how to do the whole system to make it fair. However, a system that is done to confuse is not on the up and up, and we all know it.
