Not true. Most true conservatives didn’t want McCain or Romney, or Dole, the rnc wanted them. We have known the system is rigged, they just have layer upon layer of things in place so you can’t point at any one thing. And, up to now, who has had the money to tackle this. On top of everything else, the press is in line to do their part of the charade, along with what is looking like most of talk radio. Sorry, if you don’t want to see it, or are part of it.
That Trump represents a combination of no effort on the ground game with a singularly unelectable profile means that suddenly the identity of delegates matters.
Yeah these are the types of words that disgust most of us. ground game ie cheating. We are on to that line. Most of us adults don’t have the time to babysit the rnc not to cheat.
That sounds like a lot of work. Can’t I just show up for 5 minutes and mark an X?
yeo no answers just as I thought. Maybe Rush or Rove can mail you the talking points this afternoon.
That statement actually contains my entire objection to the process. It should not be "how they intend to vote". It should be "how they must vote".
I freely admit that first-ballot vote-flipping is probably rare overall. And it's not an issue at all when someone goes to the convention with the nomination already locked up.
However, these are not normal times.
So when were the delegates picked, come on cruz said we were uniformed so you educated me?
Month year and when did cruz decide to run and how did he get delegates to switch their vote to him, after all he worked for them and Trump never you said?
. Can a combat marine serving overseas in a war zone vote for John Smith as a delegate in CO.
McCain and Romney didn’t earn a majority of delegates through the primary contests? Is that what you’re saying?
2008 and 2012 had contested conventions where delegates were unbound and decided on a candidate who did not get the majority of primary votes?
Ground game isn’t “cheating.” It is retail politics.
Why do Trump people have an aversion to actually going out and meeting with like minded people and developing strategy to get elected as delegate?
If you want to try to have a rational conversation, please identify a state you want to talk about.
Are these sample ballots for delegates sent out overseas to military folks whom are risking their lives in order for John Smith to be a delegate and vote as they wish while not voting for what a marine wants in a war zone?
I want to talk about CO.
Now again you tell me how does cruz get the delegates to switch their vote?
What month did cruz decide to run and what month and year were these delegates chosen?
Also for a marine then can you answer him seeing as these marines risk their lives for you. Is he able to vote for a delegate and sent a absentee I a war zone and then he can vote for John smith who he has no idea about ?
Why do Trump people have an aversion to actually going out and meeting with like minded people and developing strategy to get elected as delegate?
Why do you keep thinking this is like a game? Our country is being stolen from we the people, how hard is that to understand. How about if you run for office, you tell people what you would do different than what is currently being done. Then let Americans vote. How hard is that? Why all the convoluted mess? Hey, I’ll go to Iowa and wear my flannel shirt with my sleeves rolled up and hand out corn dogs at the fair. Just stop.
OK (I was not sure, but suspected that).
However, that has been the way the cake has been baked for a while now. Just like the West and Midwest not having primaries but a delegate selection process.
So if Colorado is ok, then the Florida split is ok. Either way, a lot of people are VERY upset with how this is playing out.
That is what I do not get. the establishment and hacks care more about ignoring voters and what we want while our country looses jobs to illegals, military dying etc.
This is not a I am smarter than you game, this is our country.
Cruz didn't get any delegates in Colorado to switch their votes.
You seem to have a complete misconception of who delegates are.
What month did cruz decide to run and what month and year were these delegates chosen?
Cruz announced his campaign in March 2015.
Colorado held precinct caucuses on March 1, 2016. People elected as delegates there went to their county assembly. Those were held between March 1-26. Those elected there went to the district conventions. Those were held from March 29 to April 8.
Those elected there as delegates to the state convention went to the state convention on April 9. There, the delegates for the national convention were elected.
So, it's like a spelling bee. Win local, win region, win district, win state.
It all begins with people who support a candidate running and getting elected at the precinct level. Then they need to work with other like-minded people to win elections at the other conventions.
Nothing prevented Trump from organizing this. He just didn't want to.
No delgates existed prior to March 1. No one had to switch any votes. You just need your people to show up and be organized.
Trump failed.
Careful. You’re starting to sound like a leftie there.
If Trump and his fans cared, they would try to organize and win.
It's not a game, but it is a contest. Showing up is the first step.
If I was serious about running for office, I would sure as heck try to organize my followers so I could win.
mmmm yea OK
During he process to select delegates in CO can marines based overseas in a war zone vote for say John Smith by absentee even though most marines have no idea who the hell John Smith is?
I don’t see any provisions for absentee balloting.
So cruz in March this year had all the delegates for him and I have to ask this.
Do you think it is right certain people who cannot vote , but are from CO are denied their right to vote in this process?
I am talking military members, those in the FBI, CIA, border patrol guys, business men and women.
If a state does let their voters vote, but then the delegates do not vote as the voters wanted for their guy who won the state , is that right?
If the voters are not needed then maybe millions of us voters should stay at home and write in Trump right.
Rules made by the establishment, for the establishment and to hell with the people.
No delgates existed prior to March 1. No one had to switch any votes. You just need your people to show up and be organized.
Trump failed.
But...just like the idiot left... that thinks that just showing up should be enough for them to win (no work should be involved for such "special" people, dontcha know).... Trump and his fans seem to think that they are so special that they don't have to work for that win, either. They think wrong.
They have no idea how sick and tired and FTFU most Americans are of all of the Trump (and their) whining. They are doing it to themselves via the sore-loser BS, even when they're winning. They'll find out the hard way. And then, of course, we'll have to listen to more endless screeching about voter fraud, rigged elections and corruption.
