Ted Cruz dominates the delegate-selection process in Louisiana and Colorado. Trump then erupts in flustered indignation, sounding like Mom in the old joke: Mom: How was the game? Son: Great. I went 3 for 4 and stole second base. Mom: Well, you march yourself right back to school and put it back. You would think that, instead of jeering at Cruz for his hustle, Trump fans would boo their own candidate for fielders indifference. He just stands there, fuming and whining, watching as his opponent circles the bases.

Total BS. The will of the voters is to have delegates selected who are loyal to the candidate who won the delegates in their state primaries.
In some states, voters actually vote for delegates pledged to a candidate, as it should be.
Aren't the party elite the ones who are doing this to Trump, versus Trump not doing anything to stop it?
Trump represents the 70% or so who don't want Cruz, and the 80% or so who don't want Kasich. Both should drop out and stop trying to thwart the will of the Republican primary voters.
Why not just have Cruz declare himself the winner, and suspend all this voting nonsense?
Trump is not whining, but informing America that they have been disenfranchised and replaced by corrupt activities.
Trump for President. Hope he will be nominated by the people.
Evidently, that's not always happening. And I don't care at all what the “rules” are. If a candidate gets most of the popular votes in a state, that candidate should get most of the pledged delegates. Period.
Any candidate that who circumvents that rule, be he Trump, Cruz, or the Man in the Moon, will NOT get my vote in November.
You're surprised the only conservative running isn't doing in the northeast liberal stronghold of NY.?
Ted Cruz has lost. He will have been mathematically eliminated after the next Tuesday or two. His only hope was to get the nomination at a contested GOP convention, which would irreparably splinter the party, and guarantee a GOP defeat in November.
I think Trump has pretty much done that already; his personal attacks of candidates, his whining about the selection process (even though the process was known to all candidates), his boorish, crude behavior, his lack of substance on issues has given the Rats all the ammo they need to beat whoever is the Pub nominee.
If it is truly the will of the people, then they need to show up at their state conventions and make that happen. Because the primary only determines how a delegate is bound on the first ballot. It has been that way for a very very long time.
Trump supporters may wish the rules were different. But as long as they continue to be no-shows at these caucuses and state conventions, then they are doing nothing to change it.
At least Cruz isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. His people have been showing up and thwarting GOPe attempts to seat GOPe sympathizers as Cruz and Trump delegates. Cruz is the only candidate actually taking on the GOPe while Trump stands around and whines.
Under under-performing.
yup, Cruz gives me the same ucky feeling I got seeing bill, hillary and the gores on stage that election night - and also again with obamas. (I didn’t catch on with GWB)
they reminded me of college kids celebrating pulling off a prank, with no concern for people hurt or damage done.
Ted only succeeds where he can cheat and the voters don’t get a say.
The country is being conned, lied to, economically gang raped, Middle America has been left all but dead on the floor, a debt of death of trillions with lawless violent borders, but you don’t like Trumps tone? He’s crude?

Agreed!!
And you don't think the reverse will occur if Trump is the nominee? How exactly will Trump unify the party? How will Trump build a "get out the vote" effort if he can't even put together an organization to fight for delegates?
Those games are nothing but the old party insiders trying to have their way rather than recognizing the will of the voters as expressed at the ballot box.
It doesn't take a genius to recognize what is going on there. Rules, rules, rules. Nazi Germany had rules. Stalinist Russia had rules. Mao's China had rules. North Korea has rules.
Anyone who's ability to think and come to a conclusion about right or wrong ends with saying "those are the rules", well, they've told everyone a lot about themselves.
It is National review after all...
Far greater majority doesn't want Cruz, the reptilian charlatan.
If you want to vote Cruz that is your right, but don't give me any of this "Consistent Conservative" or "Establishment Fighter" BULLSH*T!
The person who follows politics closely knows that winning elections depends on favorable turnout and pulling voters that are unsure to your side. Trump may be hitting all the right hot button issues, but because of who he is and how he behaves his unfavorables are off the charts. He will not only lose Pub support from candidates he may beat, but he sure won't draw voters that are unsure to him.

Just because I have a different view "I am detached from the real world". What a joke.
