NEW YORK A stunningly distracted crowd of hundreds of Republicans almost entirely ignored Ted Cruz's speech at the New York City GOP gala on Thursday night, instead chattering at their dinner tables, standing and taking selfies. Several casually left the dinner altogether.
The crowd's stark disregard for Cruz's remarks followed months of controversy over Cruz's suggestion in January that Donald Trump has "New York values."

I’ve pretty much had enough of all of our so-called “conservative leaders”. If you need someone to lead you around by the nose, go for it. And yeah, that’s my opinion.
You’re the one being led around by Trump. Of course, he’s not a conservative leader. He’s just tapped into some 0bama cult like following and getting a big kick out of it. And that’s my opinion.
I don't know. You'll have to call in and ask him. I'll be listening.
>Youre the one being led around by Trump. Of course, hes not a conservative leader. Hes just tapped into some 0bama cult like following and getting a big kick out of it. And thats my opinion.
Funny I think the same about you and Cruz.
I've listen to Rush for 15 years. He's in it for the money just like most of the rest of the “conservative” media.
“Im damn sick of the Cult of Trump.”
Because being in a cult where your candidate has been anointed King, and is shored up by guys who will be gods on their own private planets, is so much more preferable. Riiight.
He would not vote for Reagan. He would not vote at all. He did not register to vote until he was 35 (1986).
And your point? I never voted for Thomas Jefferson but I consider him an inspiration and influence.
I’m not in a cult, Madam. As a matter of fact, I’m not sure I’m gonna vote for any of these clowns. However, I do believe that Cruz is less clownish than Trump, so there.
See post #69.
“Im not in a cult, Madam.”
But I am?
“I do believe that Cruz is less clownish than Trump, so there.”
And “clownish” is a legitimate criterion to rule out a candidate. Who’s the candidate who twirls for Jesus? Who’s the one who’s A King in his fake religion? Who’s the one who take his Goldman Sachs money-grubbing wife on TV to help him whore for “five dollars, ten dollars...”, etc.?
You think Trump’s hair color is more “clownish” than Cruz’ beady-eyed, Grandpa Munster, freakish face?
How about concentrating on the issues instead of “clownish”?
Your rant is weak and muddled. I give it a 2.
Fake religion? Are you implying that you have the awesome power to be able to see into the hearts of men?
Trump is a clown. Cruz acted clownish by being drawn into a twitter war with Trumpzo. But you are taking it to a whole new level. Congratulations! Perhaps you can get a job as Trumpzo’s sidekick.
I guess you missed the point, genius..........
My endorsement should count as much as Rush Limbaugh's and I endorse Donald Trump.
I'm sure The Donald will be ecstatic knowing that he can add another member to his clown posse.
Not everyone is a genius but everyone can be a good person.
Rush could have voted for Reagan and chose not to do so. He is in it for the money and the radio. He loves the radio because it is the only thing he succeeded in, and he succeeded marvelously. I think Donald does appreciate his supporters because they see him for all his flaws and still like him.
