Tuesday night is going to be interesting. There’s a certain reluctance in NY today to openly be against Trump, partly because of Cruz’s “New York values” comment, and partly because Trump has built so many projects in the city. It’s truly his home state.
Still, both moderate and conservative GOP voters are likely to have concerns about Trump, concerns that they might not be inclined to voice openly given the present atmosphere. I wonder if he will underperform his polling as a result.
Maybe he will come in strong, I don’t know, but if he does underperform that will very likely influence voters in the rest of the NE states a week later, so there could be a lot riding on the NY results.
