A "phobia" is an irrational fear. Obviously that's not an accurate representation of the prevailing sentiments toward the cult of Islam. Loathing and hostility, yes. Rational fear, sure. But not phobia.

How about Muslims tell each other not to blow stuff up? How about Muslims call the FBI when one of their family members wants to shoot a bunch of people? How about Muslims stop giving sensible people a reason to expect evil from them, and we will stop expecting evil from them?
There are two cures for “Islamophobia”. (1) Muslims stop giving people cause to be afraid, or (2) non-Muslims ignore reality and stick their heads in the sand. Liberals are calling for option (2).
