The six-year fight against Gov. Chris Christie's attempt to remake the state Supreme Court has finally ended, thanks to a full retreat by the governor.
This is a huge win for New Jersey and for Senate President Steve Sweeney, who has fought hard against Christie's crude efforts to bend the court to his will.
On Monday Christie nominated a Democrat, Walter Timpone, to fill the court's lone vacancy. The governor had long insisted that the seat should go to a Republican, and he threatened just last month to escalate the fight unless Democrats approved his nominee, Judge David Bauman.
But Democrats didn't budge, and now Christie has given up.

Maybe the Donaald will be stupid enough to put Chrispy on the ticket with him?? That way Trump can stand at the podium with Christy behind him ,with the sexy eyes Christy sports. Trump was soooo honored with that endorsement. I can’t wait till the New Jersey primary
