What’s going on is the GOP is taking a beating over the Cruz’s delegate machinations and Colorado’s disenfranchisement of GOP voters.

It looks like Trump is getting a big rebound off these party machinations and the GOP has already pushed too far trying to thwart Trump.

They’re probably getting creamed in focus groups despite the media’s complicity in pushing the meme “It’s all by the rules”.

I think Trump was the winner, by far, in Colorado. And he didn’t get one delagate.

There are a couple states that don't have any primary, and the rules for choosing delegates to the convention CAN work out in a reasonably fair way in those states too.

Technically, the "disenfranchisement" in Colorado (and there is "disenfranchisement" in FL too, winner take all, etc.) isn't because the voters aren't consulted, it's because a relatively small number of people controlling the rules and the process, bent the rules and process in favor of the candidate they prefer. There ought to be some blowback over that.

I think it is great that the over-reaching by a handful of zealots in Colorado is splattering crap all over the RNC too.

I agree with you, by the way. The optics of this, whether technically accurate or not, are benefiting Trump. And if the meme "by the rules" does catch hold, Trump has a fallback of actually looking at the rules, and showing examples of how they were NOT followed. Manafort claims that delegate objections will be filed, and the only way these have any traction is through a claim that the rules were not followed.

Exactly. Cruz looks like such a tool defending GOPe corruption. Those 10 second “delegate” “speeches” are a total joke. Once again, Ted Cruz sells his “conservative” soul to the devil to win an election. A little sunshine is a being shined on the two faced nature of Ted Cruz and it is driving him to hysterics.
