Keyes definitely had a great message and I liked him at the time. We were told “Keyes has no chance”. Maybe he had no chance because it was pre-determined by the GOPe powers that be that he had no chance and now the party oligarchs are trying this with Trump but have not yet(and one hopes never) succeeded. Very ugly tactics.
I must not have been listening to Rush at the time when he went after Keyes or I would have turned him off then.

Rush called us ‘Keyes-ters’ implying that we were ‘on our keisters’.
I was so angry with him. He was completely in the tank for GW back in 2000 and owns every mistake GW did.
I’m willing to own Trump’s mistakes because I think he will be an awesome president.

Rush did toss some bones Keyes’ way. I’ll give him that.
But there are many parallels in history, such as Cruz working for the GW administration and pushing for Justice Roberts.
Seeing all the trouble Trump is having, it’s true: Keyes truly did not have a chance. The NRO for example would have called him a NAZI and the only black member of the KKK.
