Pittsburgh is a city in western Pennsylvania at the junction of 3 rivers. Trump and the dinky rink (unlike rinky dink, do nothing/done nothing Ted)
This was an excellent speech last night. Trump was in tune with his audience, who had just spent $1,000 to be there and wanted to have a nice time, so he entertained them. It was the social Trump, and I think he might have actually won over some of the NY crowd who weren’t already won over. They weren’t in the mood for a bunch of long, boring speeches. I’m glad he spoke first, when they were relatively fresh, although the previous speakers may have served to make them a bit restless already.
I’d venture to say that many in the room have not been watching his speeches. His manner of talking was certainly not as familiar to them as it was to us, and they may not have seen his talent on display before.
All of this is to say, it was a super plus evening for him. I’d even say the Lord was with him.
Outside, we watched the cops running from spot to spot and most of the time wondered what was up. At one point, the SRT was called in, but more about that on the counterprotest AAR thread if I can ever get it going.
Anyone know a good link for the Pittsburgh speech? I started watching the one that was linked on the thread and it stopped less than halfway through and didn’t start up again. Many thanks!

It was masterful.
“I FELL ASLEEP. SO PLEASE TELL ME, HOW MANY TIMES DID CRUZ MENTION TRUMP, AND DID HE HAVE A PREPARED SPEECH?”
The content of his speech was unimportant. What got my attention was the rhythm: wave after wave of a one sentence pronouncement, followed by a short pause, and then a burst of enthusiasm from the same small group.
Fortunately, the sound system malfunctioned halfway through.
