Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly says six state leaders are ousting her from the Eagle Forum organization she founded because of her support of Donald Trump, and five of them support Sen. Ted Cruz.
Schlafly released a statement Monday claiming the group is trying to take over the organization by controlling bank accounts, firing employees and hiring their own.
I think its an attempt to vote me out, Schlafly told the conservative World Net Daily. Its disloyal, and its terribly shocking, and Im completely depressed about it.
Among those Schlafly called out by name Monday was Cathie Adams, who served as Texas Eagle Forum president for the last 23 years.

(They don't do mammography, BTW.)
Based on your post, Trump should be talking about defunding Planned Parenthood RIGHT NOW. Planned Parenthood is despicable and monumentally crooked. A more principled conservative would not waffle the way Trump does.
Ungrateful Cruznadians!
Cruz and his supporters are going to implode when Trump wins the nomination. Based on what Cruz just said on Hannity he might be in therapy.
I think it’s gotten a lot more personal this time...
The personal invectives have reached a new low in my opinion...but it’s “passion”.
Cathie Adams of Texas Eagle Forum is a former Republican Party of Texas Chair and is on the ballot as vice-chair for upcoming state convention. As a state delegate, she has my support.
Further, my CD district went 2 Nat’l delegates for Cruz, 1 for Trump. I will proudly vote in caucus to put Cruz supporters in all three slots. I have every right to do so as a state delegate.
If any Texas Trump supporters disagree with my plan, then let me ask: are you a delegate to the state convention to oppose it? Why not?
The party nomination is geared towards those who work for the party. The more work you put into the party, the further your say goes. That’s the way it should be. The Tea Party has been saying this for years: if you want to change the GOP, take it over: become a precinct chair, etc.:
Go to your precinct convention (everybody is a “delegate” at precinct level) and be a delegate to county. Many county delegate positions go unfilled. Our precinct could send four to county; we sent three (precinct chair, his wife, and me). Nobody else was interested. In order to be a seated as a state delegate, county delegates in our county have to demonstrate volunteer work for the party. County officials, party officials and precinct chairs get priority because they work for the party daily. I was selected as a state delegate due to my work on a local campaign (for state rep).
I find it ironic that Trump and his supporters want to take over the party but they can’t even be bothered to be part of it.
dude - just file the Free Republic butthurt report I posted for you.
It will make the boo-boo all better, we promise. :)
Trump winning a bound delegate in my CD entitles him to a first round bound vote in Cleveland. He will get that no matter what we do at state convention. That’s all he’s entitled to.

Cruz is no longer the man he started as.
Say what you will about Trump but the Trump that announced in June is the exact same Trump now.
Cruz is totally unrecognizable than the Cruz in June.
You and your delegate insider buddies enjoy the Sounds of Silence at the polls this November when the ACTUAL voters remember that they have to trim their toenails instead of voting for the Republican patsy the Party nominates...
The Republicans apparently aren't entitled to MY vote, with an attitude like that.
So, what did CryinCruz say on Hannity?
I suspect you didn’t listen to the videos. The whole priest king thing is carefully outlined
Well said, sir.
I just read your post #177. Cruz is a jerk.
He's beating the Crying Canadian, Teddie "Way Da Blind Girls?" Cruz like a renTED mule. :)
