Cruz Jr has spent a lot of time hangin in Utah with the Mormons and with Glenn Beck for months...

Coincidentally, or not, Glenn Beck went and got himself a Dominionist "Mantle of Prophecy" from a prominent "Apostle" of the New Apostolic Reformation group. They don't care that he's a Mormon. He did this just before Cruz announced his candidacy, and probably in preparation for it.
According to an interview with Ted, his father fought with Fidel in the early days of the revolution. He left because he disagreed with the murderous tactics. Son Ted never said his father disagreed with the ideology. Combine that with the Dominionism and you get a clear picture of Daddy and son’s beliefs. Their behavior should come as no surprise. They are not conservatives. Both have strong religious totalitarian leanings.
