In that case, wouldn’t Cruz need to release his delegates? IIRC one can hold their candidates if they suspend, but not if they drop out; and, that’s one of the reasons why most suspend. If he was indicted or found ineligible, I would think he would need to drop out rather than suspend. Don’t know the rules, just surmising.
RSBN feed is live. Does anyone know who is speaking?
You are thinking what I was wondering about.
Time will tell. But I think it’s odd that it has been almost a month since Lollypop released her tease for full story. If she had sold it we would have heard something. The fact that the person doing the interview specifically questioned her about leaving Texas. Hi is paying her ticket to Maryland and the provided a car rental to Arlington VA would open it up to an FBI/MANN act investigation. That is what Eliot Spitzer was convicted under.
When I searched to find out more information on that case was when the NY madam connection to Stone popped up. It was after that HO8 released she was hired through NY. Both NY & DC madams had branches in multiple cities
Frankly, I don’t know how an “Abstain” vote plays in party rules, or if it is even allowed.
Also, to “suspend” rather than actually drop out possibly enables a campaign to continue raising a little money to clear any remaining debt, but mostly it is the delegate control they want to retain.
May be why TRUMP floated some names out there this week, for possibles, on his VP list— ones with “suspended” campaigns and also he named Kasich.
I think trying to understand the rules is pointless. There are no real rules - just like courts, the powers that be will make things up in order to reach the intended outcome.
