Today, we found out that we've lost our 22 year old son.
He'd been missing for a couple of days and they found the body this evening. He wrecked his motorcycle and ended up in a ditch where nobody could see.
I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to accept this. I don't know what to do with this.
And I can't pray.
I'm not mad at G-d or anything like that. I mean that I have no words. I don't know how.
Can you please pray for me? Just add me to your prayer list for a little while?
I cannot grasp that this loving young man is gone from my life forever. I don't know how to be all right with that.
I know that I need to sleep, but that seems like such a strange thing to do. I don't know how to function. What's normal when he's not on this planet?
Dear Lord, I miss him so much already.

You can never fill the void left by one that you love taken away so suddenly.

Marie, I am SO sorry to hear about the loss of your son and will be praying for you in the coming days.
While I am sure it will not matter now, I am writing this in the hope that it will comfort you if you revisit this thread over the coming months/years:
Just over thirty years ago, my best friend passed away in exactly the same way. I gave him a hug after he fueled up his motorcycle, told him to put his helmet on (which he did) and watched him drive away. He went “missing” and 2 days later they found him in a ditch after an extensive search.
Just want you to know that I still think of him often; play his favorite songs in his honor; miss him....and look to Heaven & give him a “shout out” every time I drive by the cemetery.
Your son will live on in the memory of his friends too...more than you will ever know...forever.

To lose someone close to you is difficult enough
To lose a child is even more difficult, even more so if it occurs suddenly and expectantly .
Prayers up for you and your family that God will comfort you in your loss ,
and realize that your son has returned to his Heavenly Father, where you will see him again .
