The Board of Eagle Forum, a 501(c)(4) corporation, held a Board meeting in accordance with and pursuant to the Eagle Forum By-Laws and Illinois State Law at 2 pm CDT on April 11, 2016.
Pursuant to the By-Laws, Eagle Forum First Vice President, Eunie Smith, presided over the meeting. Eagle Forum Founder, Mrs. Phyllis Schlafly, the Chairman of the Board, was present during the entire meeting, including expressing herself on all seven votes. In Schlafly’s opening statement she said she has spent her life building Eagle Forum as a unique organization of volunteers. She also said that paid staff cannot order volunteers around. Mrs. Smith said, “The purpose of the meeting was to ensure that Eagle Forum will continue long into the future as a viable force for all the causes we have addressed in the past, for God, family and country.”
The Board of Eagle Forum voted to remove Mr. Ed Martin as President of the corporation; effective immediately. Mrs. Eunie Smith is serving as President until a new President is elected pursuant to the Eagle Forum By-Laws. Mrs. Smith appointed Eagle Forum Board Vice Chairman, Anne Schlafly Cori, daughter of Phyllis Schlafly, as Executive Director of Eagle Forum. Anne Schlafly Cori has worked with our state organizations and worked alongside Phyllis for some time.
Anne Schlafly Cori said, “I am honored and excited to be working with our wonderful state volunteer leaders from across the country. We are continuing the incredible legacy of our Founder Phyllis Schlafly.”
Dr. Shirley Curry was directed to lead a Search Committee for a new president of Eagle Forum.
There was just a story about Eagle forum endorsing Cruz!!! Guess that did not go over so swell with Phyllis!!!

That is all fine and dandy. I was just curious about the line of attack he used in saying they didn't fight against the con con. They (Alabama leaders) went to great lengths to say (and probable prove) that at least on the front they were against the CC. The state has been accused of "racist language" in the old constitution, but every efforts to change the constitution has had back handed efforts to change other important parts of the constitution. Like one year they wanted to remove "racist" language, but at the same time change the constitution to where strike out the part that said it was NOT the government's job to educate (schools). I agree it is NOT the government's job so I voted against striking out the racist language just because they tried to sneak in a liberal agenda.

It seems two or three of Phyllis’s sons are also involved in Eagle Forum (or related to EF) and have allegedly been siding with Ed Martin for several months now, battling these women -including their sister Ann Cori.
It seems to keep circling back to a redirection of funds, giving control to these women and allowing them to disperse funds or access funds as they see fit.
Sounds like there is a LOT (LOT!) of $$ involved.

Eagle Forum donated $10,000 twice to Ed Martin when he apparently ran for Congress.
Two different cycles, over 4 years.
I take that to mean Schlafly knew him, liked him, and eventually hired him after years of collaborating with him on political interests. So I’m not convinced she was taken in by him and his manipulating ways.
The lead Board member, Cathie Adams, has been a rabid, rabid Cruz supporter for at least 10 years. So, wouldn’t be surprised if she did have a bug up her butt about Schlafly openly defying Cathie’s way of thinking.
