Unreal....

These hacks are showing their true colors, aren’t they?

Wake up, folks!!

The apparatchiks control the outcome of the elections.....NOT the voters.

the colorado caucus process is a sick, anti-democratic joke. About half a dozen people show up for each precinct caucus, and “elect” people to attend county assemblies and Congressional district assemblies; the county assemblies “elect” people to the state convention. The CD and State assemblies then “elect” delegates, who are supposedly unbound.

A couple thousand people out of a population of 5 million participate.

if all registered republicans actually showed up, there wouldn’t be enough meeting rooms to hold them in the entire state and the caucuses wouldn’t ‘work’. in fact, the GOPe is counting on just a very, very, very few showing up. that’s why the reserved caucus rooms are always so very, very, very tiny.

family members who have children to take care of, meals to prepare, and work to prepare for don’t have time to waste on a meaningless process where party insiders are going to steal the whole thing at the end anyway.

on the other hand, colorado is a mail-in ballot state for ALL elections, so a few hundred thousand would have voted in an actual primary, whereas the caucuses were held on a weeknight when people have to take care of their families and then go to work the next day.

btw, if this is such a wonderful process, shouldn’t all of our elections for everything require everyone to show up at 7pm to 8pm on a Tuesday night in order to vote?

But it was not without controversy. There never was a vote – Party elites decided on who got the delegates.

If the GOP “leaders” succeed in preventing Trump from winning the nomination they may not have deep regrets.

But rank and file republicans and conservatives will remember the perfidy of the GOP elites every single day they wake up to president Hillary’s reign of terror.

“Defiant state party leader.”

Yes, all tyrants are. Hitler, Stalin, Saddam Hussein, Mao, you name them...they were all defiant.

The comments on this post are unmixed garbage. Not one seems to know what he is writing about.

I attended the Colorado State Convention and those delegates present voted the national delegate slate they wished.

Coloradans do not like Trump for the simple reason he does not like the constitution.

All was fair and aboveboard.

Trump can whine all he wants and so can his following of fussy hens.

Doesn’t change the fact he lost. And he lost because he hadn’t a clue about how important the caucuses were.

I was there I saw it all.

For America,

Terry

"Go Ahead and Burn the Party Down"

I think the republican "leadership" has done a pretty good job of that already. At this point, I think we peons are just going to throw the lime on its fetid corpse before shoveling dirt over it.

Did you read his entire response? It wasn’t defiant at all. In fact he sounds like a guy that would happily support Trump, and burn it all down if that is what it takes to fix it. What am I missing?

“James,

Thank you for your note. Go ahead and burn the party down if that is what it takes to put this country on the right track then I am open to anything.

What happened over the weekend was simple and had no manipulation or underhanded process in it. The Cruz campaign worked harder than anyone else over a longer period of time, using the process that we have to create a victory for him. He came to Colorado, and was the only candidate who did, gave a great speech and won. I would have been perfectly okay with the result being for Mr. Trump had he and his team done the same thing. I will support whoever wins without hesitation but blaming other people when you don’t get what you want is only relevant if you did the work honestly and someone manipulated the process. That didn’t happen here.

I think people are upset right now because they either don’t like the process or don’t understand it. I am one of the people who doesn’t like it. It’s complicated and many don’t understand why we don’t just have a national primary across all 50 states in about June, pick the winner and go after the democrats in the general election. There are complications to that as well but it comes down to states rights on how we pick candidate. We should have a presidential primary here but the legislature eliminated it in 2002 because it costs to much and that is a limited government move. Up until this year no one cared. We will put a presidential primary back into our law before this year is over.

Lastly, the one thing I do not get from the Trump supporters who are mad at me right now is why so many believe he isn’t going to win. I think Mr. Trump has woken America up and we should be thankful for that. But why do you think he isn’t going to win. He has a big lead, the easiest path to the nomination, a lead in critical states like NY and California etc. Channel you energy into getting your guy elected and in the end if really manipulation happens I will be there to light the match for you.

Steve”

Colorado... you add kerosene to an already lit fire and then blame someone else for burning it down?

Classic politics.
