Just the same, he's correct in certain ways. The party prefers public input that agrees with the party's approved candidates. It gives the public input, the same way bosses give a voice in meetings. You can say what you want, but the boss will have his way, no matter what. The boss prefers to get agreement in advance, but the decision is not conditional on agreement. The decision is independent of agreement.
When a party picks a candidate, the party is the boss, and the voters are the "workers." The party is usually successful in limiting viable candidates to those who are approved or acceptable to the party (party insiders), and in manipulating the process so one of a few selected, pre-approved candidates gets the nomination. This season, the winner of the nomination was supposed to be Jeb Bush, and may still be Jeb Bush.
But also this season, the party has a candidate that is both popular and unacceptable, Donald Trump. In Colorado, the party rejected the unacceptable candidate.

Thanks for introducing me to that song. I immediately downloaded it. I LOVE depressing music and that song is as depressing as it gets. It makes the song “DOA” by Bloodrock sound joyful in comparison and that’s pretty hard to do.
So you feel that all the voters were accurately represented at your convention in that Cruz got all your states delegates? Meaning if it was a majority winner take all primary, Cruz would’ve gotten. 50% or more? That would be quite a feat, as he didn’t even get over 50% in his home state of Texas!

The winner by the people voting of the States should get more delegates then the losers. Trump has won almost twice as many States by voting as Cruz. There is nothing to your meme of Trump having more delegate - he earned them honestly, Cruz has won nothing honestly since the GOPe took over Cruz’s dead campaign after the South.

My question is: were Colorado voters aware back in August that there would be no voting by the population? Did the Establishment announce the change openly or did they keep it a secret? If the GOPe didn't broadcast the change so it was known to everyone - voters and candidates alike - then it's not "validly changing the rules". It's cheating.
What did the voters know, and when did they know it?
Not did they not take a vote, they never even took a poll there. I suspect cruz might have been more popular there, but there is really no way of knowing.
I’ve now come to the conclusion it is no longer GOPe. The correct spelling is gopE, because there is so little Grand Ol’ Party left, but there’s one hell of an Establishment.
