Funny about “rules” and “legalism.” Both Jesus and Paul warned about this. Paul said that the law exists if one uses it properly. A key concept in American legal history is the SPIRIT of the law vs. the letter of the law.

If even Limbaugh in saying that the GOPe will turn on Cruz one Cruz eliminates Trump, then one has to wonder what Cruz is thinking to expect that he will win despite the GOPe.

The only way to guarantee a GOPe loss is for Cruz or Trump to support the other so one of them has an overwhelming majority at the convention.

I'm calling for the trailing candidate to support the leading candidate against the GOPe. It's the only way to be 100% sure.

And when Judas made his bargain with the Sanhedrin to betray Jesus, he didn't expect the Jewish establishment to turn on Jesus the way they did. Judas expected to have Jesus sidelined so that a more militant wing of the opposition could fight against Rome. When Judas saw how the Sanhedrin misled him into helping get rid of Jesus, he couldn't live with what he had done.

Are there any parallels here?

Is the GOPe the Sanhedrin? Is Cruz Judas? Are the Democrats Rome? Is the popularity of Trump that threatens the rule of the GOPe the popularity of Jesus that threatened the rule of the Sanhedrin?
