the more I see Cruz lying, cheating, and accepting it all as acceptable, the more I think my husband might have been right from the beginning.
He said in the very start of the campaign that Cruz wanted to be president long ago, and picked the path that he thought would get him there. It’s not that be believed in anything he was saying or doing - only that it was the fastest path to the WH. Everything was staged - the ‘fights’ with the GOP, calling McConnell a liar, everything done for show to be used as a talking point later.
Everything he has said and done in this campaign doesn’t mesh with the person he has pretended to be - conservative, Christian, ethical. He has shown none of those traits and as the campaign moved on, he is showing himself to be less and less of those things.
Darn, hubby was right AGAIN! I hate it when that happens...
