I’m hoping too, that Trump pulls it off. IF he doesn’t it will be UGLY! The GOPe won’t let Trump have it, even if he wins the most delegates. I’m already planning on writing him in (but hope I get to select him on the ballot!)
The story by Fred Reed was so entertaining and spot on. LOL I shared it on FB and hopefully it will stir up emotions. Its our job to stir it up and gather more “Little Trump Monsters” on this fast moving Trump Train.

the more I see Cruz lying, cheating, and accepting it all as acceptable, the more I think my husband might have been right from the beginning.
He said in the very start of the campaign that Cruz wanted to be president long ago, and picked the path that he thought would get him there. It’s not that be believed in anything he was saying or doing - only that it was the fastest path to the WH. Everything was staged - the ‘fights’ with the GOP, calling McConnell a liar, everything done for show to be used as a talking point later.
Everything he has said and done in this campaign doesn’t mesh with the person he has pretended to be - conservative, Christian, ethical. He has shown none of those traits and as the campaign moved on, he is showing himself to be less and less of those things.

Yes. All these “principled” conservatives are just fine with cheating voters at the drop of a hat. Very distressing.

They delight in the engagement Just leave a link with facts and do not try to reason. They can’t deal with facts. But get their jollys by arguing.

Thanks, I was so upset last night about all the hate going on non stop. Someone on another thread asked for advise and wanted different people’s take on, the back door deals going on. A poster started out with only hate for Trump and his supporters. It had nothing to do with listening to someone reaching out for help.
siamesecats...how in the world are we ever going to unite after the convention with so much hate being said? Our party is in chaos and we have a REAL monster to fight and we are so beaten up and unorganized? I am having a time listening to Cruz supporters boasting about the goodness of intimidation and the denying of votes.
Then again, might it be, what I’m having a hard time dealing with is I was once a Cruz supporter and now I see I too was FOOLED that he has always been The Establishment and his supporters left are the ONES fine with it.
Sorry to unload. My stomach was hurting last night over all this thinking and realization. LOL
Glad you enjoyed it! I did and thought some of my Trump Family FRiends would as well. He certainly has a way with words and created a modern-day, political “fairy tale”. Hope this fairy tale of an election ends up the way we want - Trump being the Pubbie nominee and winning the Presidency :-)

A good idea when on a Rally thread, is to NOT post an immediate reaction. If not familiar with the poster, open another browser tab and read his/her recent posts to get a feel for where he’s coming from. It’s very easy to interpret something completely opposite from what its intent was.
I know that things I’ve posted (quickly) have been misinterpreted.
Thanks mama...some of this stuff is getting hard to believe....this is not a joke anymore...wonder if we got rid of the delegate system and people vote....then again Gore won the popular vote...now I see how bush won....

when I joined FR in early 2003 I was in two regular postings initially ATRW and the War threads.(later found the Finest).. This started with the first threads being the build up prior, and the March to Baghdad. These threads were HUGE.. many thousand a day and fast moving. Imbedded journalists, Cams, a LOT of pix and it was really hard to keep up. You would be gone an hour to shop and whammy you were catching up. A large number of participants were not continental USA and so there was a heavy flow of posting 24 hours a day. It was fun for for a long time many of us had a severe sleep deficit. As I was not working at the time - caregiving mom - I was able to participate all the time. I admit I scheduled very little socially... just didn't want to miss anything.
I also mostly lurked, playing catch up but occasionally through out a question as I felt pretty unknowledgeable.
During this time when there was an occasional lull, there would be social chit/chat.. recipes..and those who were there remember the teasing toward on person involving a whip(the cooking kind).. good memories

I too wish I had shook John Kennedy’s hand. YES, wrong Party but I was only in junior high at the time and back then my father was a BIG Democrat and I liked cute guys. LOL John was running for president and was in an open convertible in downtown Louisville. It had started raining lightly but he still kept the top down and I was standing with (not even fifty) young schools girls. If I had just put my hand out I would have touched him.
what a nice story LS.. were you able to get any photos? This was pre digital and I know even though I have scanned many of my fav shots to digital, most were relegated to albums and the common shoe box storage. Yours might be the same

No. I never thought I’d be that close to Ron and Nancy-—just a few yards away, with no noticeable SS guard. I didn’t even know if we’d be allowed to stay at the concert.
