[2011] Donald Trump did not vote in a primary election for 21 years (from 2011)

He's talking about running the country, but Donald Trump's record on voting in elections, or rather the lack of it, is coming under fire.

The New York City Board of Elections says Mr Trump did not vote in any primary elections for 21 years.

The registered Republican, who has been touting himself as a prospective presidential candidate, would first need to get GOP voters to nominate him in a primary - a process in which official records show Trump repeatedly failed to participate in.

Mr Trump became a Democrat in 2001, and documents show he ignored that party's primaries as well, missing the 2001 and 2005 primaries for mayor.

In 2002, not only did Mr Trump miss the Democratic primaries for statewide offices, but records show he also skipped the general election, the AP reports.

There is also no evidence that Trump voted in the presidential primary between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, even though he voiced support for Mr Obama after Mrs Clinton took New York State.

I always voted, both in primaries and general elections.

I also voted in City elections.

It’s what you do as a citizen.

Unless you’re the Trumpster.

It would be interesting to see if there is anything Donald could do or has done that would not be frantically defended and justified by the trumpers.

I’m not the official scorer but you score less than zero on that post.

What are you personally doing for starving children?

And where are they? All the kids I see are quite healthy looking.

Third grade attacks? That’s a little kind. I wouldn’t go any higher than second grade.

Duchess, I know you believe that and I am sorry.

Donald’s passion is Donald.

He deals in hyperbolic promises that appeal to the masses but didn’t bother to do the work of getting ready for Colorado.

Because he did not, Cruz won and it set off a whine fit to end all whine fits.

<<< He’s interested in being elected president. >>>

Agree. But he better get his act together fast. He’s clearly not ready for a national primary. His organization is months behind Sen. Cruz.

So true. I was here. It wasn’t as nasty as this Trump thing has been ... but it was nasty.

The purists here hated Rick Perry who was my candidate. They literally despised him. Rick Perry would have beaten Obama.

It came down to Romney and I heard a lot of whining here similar to the trumper whining that they won’t vote for Cruz.

A lot of Republicans didn’t vote because they had this or that grudge against Romney. Romney was far from great but he would have been better than Obama.

Trump has fallen behind in the Reuters poll again.

That’s the poll that Drudge used to put the flashing light up for when Trump was 20 points ahead.

So guess what? Trump is now behind Cruz in that poll and Drudge’s flashing light ain’t flashing.

Losing 20 points in a poll like that shows how badly Trump is slipping with the public.

I was first eligible to vote in 1960...voted for Kennedy and other than lcal elections, I never voted for a Democrat in national or state elections since.....and I have NEVER missed an election, national, state or local since I was eligible.
