Interesting that you would mention “Jewish” because I did not even know that is a Jewish name and I don’t believe the article specified it...You use other terms “fundie?” what does Jewish “Heritage” mean? Do you have a problem with Jews?
Chill, brethren. These are just facts of demography and culture. I recognized the name as Jewish because I'm a Jew. (What self-respecting Jew can't recognize a Jewish name?)
And I could tell he was 99 percent likely to be a Lefty because 1) he was a Harvard roommate 2) with a Jewish name 3) being willingly quoted in the state-run media trashing Cruz.
But since you questioned me on it, I just now looked up "Mazin Jewish" on ixquick and got an article from the Daily Forward (a Lefty Jewish publication) that was all ga-ga over a Jewish guy sticking it to this big-time Christian candidate he hated as a freshman roomie at Harvard. And they re-posted a tweet of Mazin's recommending an article on Slate.
So that's 2 for 2 in my wild, prejudicial assumptions. (And by the way, I'm a big-time Zionist.)

However, I stand by my initial comments...the roommate did not dislike Teddy because of his faith or politics...If he had, he would have said so...Fact that he is Jewish should have made that an even more central theme...

Clearly from what Mazin actually said (not what other publications say about him) Mazin disliked Teddy because he is sleezy and untrustworthy—which is why I dislike him and why I posted the article...
