That Donald Trump is having a serious problem with the womens vote should not be a surprise as he is an anachronism in his outlook towards the opposite sex. While he has adapted to some degree, as he does employ women executives in his real estate development and marketing business, Trump is, as were many of his generation, a product of the male chauvinist mindset of the 1950s and 60s.
I am a few years older than Trump and during the 1960s I was also steeped in the then-prevalent male outlook towards women. The philosophical outlook of Playboy magazine and its founder Hugh Hefner, as well as the cultivated image of womanizing male stars in the entertainment media, was the guiding light for many of us. Women, in general, were simply targets for conquest and notches on the belt. They were sexual objects and thus viewed subconsciously as being inferior to men.
The feminist movement, together with the so-called sexual revolution of the 1960s which was supposed to liberate women, exacerbated this male mindset. Sexual conquests became routine as there was, in many cases, no thrill of the chase as far too many women were willingly seduced by the philosophy of free love. A set of tenets was widely embraced, claiming that by flaunting their sexual freedom women would be able to shed any inhibitions and declare their independence from the oppressive hand of males. In the end, all this accomplished, insofar as many men were concerned, was to further cement the male chauvinist mindset of women being primarily sexual objects.

Way to be persuasive old boy.
Let's just be condescending and insulting to Trump supporters. That'll get them voting for Cruz......
This person knows nothing about Trump and his business.
Back in the 80s women were in management positions in Trump’s organization. The recognition he gets for that, is to be insulted as if he hadn’t been ahead of his time.
I think this is typical on many topics about Trump.
Hillary views women as sex objects.
[those greedy lawyers one sees on TV all the time promising to sue and get big money for people.]
As a woman lawyer told me. The difference between a hooker and a lawyer is that the hooker STOPS screwing when the client is dead.
More Trump-bashing.
My goodness, some people truly are wetting themselves over the prospect of a Washington outsider crashing the party.
I didn’t know Trump was a Rapper.
NY has a threshold of 20%. If a candidate doesn’t break 20%, they get no delegates.
Maybe Trump admires women for who they are and not for their efforts to transform themselves into men.
How did man-hating feminists come to believe that the manly life was the perfect life for women?
Everyone whines about Trump’s twitter war with Megyn Kelly, and calls it sexist. Trump is an equal-opportunity twitter warrior. Look at how he has tweeted about Low Energy Jeb, Little Marco, and Lyin’ Ted.
Trump’s tweets were not sexist. Only sexist Liberals think they were.
You were not buying the entire false premise. That’s smart.
>> What is the purpose of such an article? Is it to convince women not to vote for Trump
Yes. Just another GOP-e minion fulfilling his corrupt obligation.
It’s propagandist lies, and Cruz helped in its propagation.
Anecdotally speaking, Trump must be the opposite of me. I grew up in the very liberal pro-feminist era and believed in equality of the sexes. But years of witnessing how idiotic feminists are and watching the self destructive behaviour of modern ‘unleashed’ women in general society......has led me to the more ‘anachronistic’ view of women they are describing.
I’m sure I’m not the only one of my generation. Feminism has set back women bigtime.
I didn't read Playboy magazine in search of a philosophical outlook, nor did I rely on Hugh Hefner for Weltanschauung-forming wisdom. And anyone who says he did...
Regards,
If you have PROOF of Ted Cruz cheating on his wife we’d all love to see it. If not, you need to stop your nasty, baseless attacks on him or head to Daily Kos.
Turmp is an old Dude—his view of women isn’t all feminazie and PC—He’s old school. I see Trumps America more like the 1950s than the 1990s. Hats, gloves, long skirts, Hats for men too. Work will be important and not the color of your skin. It will be a defferent world.
I guess my wife isn’t a woman.....funny how so many guys have become the mouthpieces for all the women of the world - they may have some serious questions about their own sexuality........
Yep - and both Palin and Coulter are women too. Seems to be the metro-sexual men bringing up much of the concern that Trump turns women off - and they know a lot about turning women off!
+1 x 100!
