That's what I was taught in 8th grade civics class...back in the days when schools still taught civics.

Over the years, NBC has morphed into what we have today. Anyone can run.

I’ll answer that.

First it’s “natural law”. Just the way things are. The way everybody knows it to be.

Second it is the United States Constitution, Article II, Section 1, Clause 5. Which was based on Vattel’s the Law of Nations Book 1, page 212.

Third it has been stated as such in several supreme court cases.
