Law enforcement responded to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas on Friday on reports of an active shooter.
The Bexar County Sheriff posted on Twitter about the reports at 9:50 a.m., ET.

About 25 minutes later, the same account said officials were working to clear the base's buildings.

Soon after, the Sheriff's account said "we have victims" at the still active scene.

Geez, I didn’t know that stuff went on back in the 50s. Probably because a lot more plopping a bullet in his head no media no more crimes. Shoot shovel shut up.
Funny. It happened so long ago, it is like watching a little video in my brain, always from the same viewpoint (inside me) and always with the same sequence, the same lighting, the same dialog. It is odd.
I consider myself a fortunate man. I have this comparatively tame experience in my head, and I remember it a certain way, which doesn’t frighten me at all.
But I can imagine men who have gone to war have memories from long ago of very frightening times, and it makes me wonder how much bite those little video clips THEY see in their heads still have the visceral and emotional bite of the actual experience, or if over time, it is becomes to them like watching a video slowly fading, where they can look at it dispassionately and analytically?
And I am glad I have never had to experience terrible things in my fortunate life, so that I would have to carry that library of video recordings around in my head like that. I had a chance to speak for several hours to a guy who had been an officer on the USS Indianapolis, and it was clear to me that there were things about that experience that have not dimmed at all, even all these years later.
When I spoke to him, I believe he had become involved in the ministry, and he said to me: “To this day, I cannot even say “The Lord’s Prayer” without choking up...” and even as he said that, just thinking of being unable to say it, he choked up and his face became very red. It was awful.
I assured him he didn’t have to talk about it any more, but he held a hand up and said “No...it isn’t that...I just haven’t talked about it with anyone for a long time.”
Just wow.
You mean designating a place for them to hide in does not make sense. They could have arrows or flashing signs pointing the way to the shelter for them. This would make it safe for them to find.
Then they could be huddled up like little sheep for the gunmen to find.
These people, especially the joint chiefs of staffs because they are sell outs, make me sick. They could not come up with a solution to save their souls. I would rather have some new striped corporals in there places than the stars.
Sell outs that have answered the question that they would shoot Americans when ordered to.

For one thing, not every muslim graduated with honors from terrorist school.
The other is we don’t know the circumstances that led to his death (was it really suicide, or did someone else blow his head off?). Will we ever get the whole story anyway?
