Donald Trump is tabling his go-everywhere approach and hunkering down in his home state ahead of the New York primary, as his campaign aims to take a more disciplined approach to the delegate hunt.
The Trump campaign is overhauling its schedule to go all in in the Empire State.
The change of plans came just as the campaign announced Thursday that Paul Manafort, a veteran GOP hand who recently joined the campaign, is being tasked with an expanded role to "direct the campaign's activities" as it looks to secure the necessary delegates to clinch the nomination.
New York will be the first testing ground for the campaign's new strategic bend.
There are 95 delegates at stake in the state's April 19 primary, where Trump has a wide lead. He picked up support from 52% of GOP primary voters in New York in a recent Monmouth University poll -- well ahead of John Kasich at 25% and Ted Cruz at 17%.

What “victory” did Gerald Ford win? Other than a congressional seat from Michigan?
“I keep trying to remind people that tha GOPe made a deal with the Democrats to defeat Trump and ensure a Hillary presidency.”
That’s patently absurd. Sounds like a scenario dreamed up and spread by Democrat operatives.

On November 22, 1910, Aldrich called a meeting of the banking establishment and members of the National Monetary Commission, which was proposed by Henry P. Davison (a partner of J. P. Morgan). Aldrich said that he intended to keep them isolated until they had developed a scientific currency for the United States. All those summoned to the secret meeting, were members of the Illuminati. They met on a railroad platform in Hoboken, New Jersey, where they chartered a private railroad car owned by Aldrich to Georgia. They were taken by boat, to Jekyll Island, off the coast of Brunswick, Georgia. Jekyll Island is in a group of ten islands, including St. Simons, Tybee, Cumberland, Wassau, Wolf, Blackbeard, Sapelo, Ossabow, and Sea Islands. Jekyll Island was a hideaway resort of the rich, purchased in 1888 by J. P. Morgan, Henry Goodyear, Joseph Pulitzer, Edwin and George Gould, Cyrus McCormick, William Rockefeller (John D. Rockefellers brother), William K. Vanderbilt, and George F. Baker (who founded Harvard Business School with a gift of $5 million) for $125,000 from Eugene du Bignon, whose family owned it for a century.
Up until the time it was converted into a public resort, no uninvited foot ever stepped on its shores. It was said, that when all 100 members of the Jekyll Island Hunting Club sat down for dinner at the clubhouse, it represented a sixth of the worlds wealth. St. Simons Island, a short distance away, to the north, was also owned by Illuminati interests.
In 1957 the Bilderbergers first U.S. conference was held on St. Simons Island, Georgia, with $30,000 from the Ford Foundation. The Bilderberg Group, Bilderberg conference, or Bilderberg Club is an annual, unofficial, invitation-only conference of approximately 120 to 140 guests from North America and Western Europe, most of whom are people of influence. About one-third are from government and politics, and two-thirds from finance, industry, labour, education and communications. Meetings are closed to the public.
I should have included you since you were remind people first.
Does anyone really believe that someone can run for president with any expectation of winning whithout the backing of an established national political party?
The last similar time was Lincoln.
See #26
“The last similar time was Lincoln.”
Are you saying that the Republican party did not support Lincoln after he was nominated? Not even the Abolitionists?
The Republican party was a very new party. I said it was similar, not identical.
The “Tea Party” has been around longer now, than the Republican Party was then. The Republican Party was started in 1854; Lincoln won in 1860.
Cruz’s biggest flop to date was betting his wad on the south to put him over the top.
Nevertheless despite his humongous loss and failed strategy, Cruz thought it was time to make a “victory” speech.
Something he does after every loss.
He needs to be examined......apparently he hears voices saying “You won Teddy”.....when the facts say otherwise.
American Enterprise Institutes annual World Forum on Sea Island.
For the love of God, why not? Mr Trump is God's chosen for this time. It certainly is not some Bible thumping, pseudo conservative from Texas, married to Goldman Sachs and the CFR, supports Obama's economically disastrous trade policies such as TPP, waffles on border security and amnesty, and all that's just for starters. We aren't even talking about his Pinocchio and/or Jimmy Swaggart traits.
Would it be out of line to say Teddy’s biggest flop to date is the fact he proclaims to love our Constitution, yet knowing he is NOT eligible for this office contorts himself like a pretzel to fit into the chair? This one fact alone says a great deal about Senator Ted. Not only Teddy, but American citizens as well. Just how difficult is it to elect a TRUE AMERICAN for this office?
No question-—fits in perfectly w/ the Cruz “hearing voices” syndrome.
He keeps hearing voices saying..... “hey, stop rooting for the Maple Leafs-—you’re an American.”
Thats patently absurd. Sounds like a scenario dreamed up and spread by Democrat operatives.
