She Was Abused & Betrayed by Someone She Trusted. That’s When a Bunch of Bikers Pulled Up.
Independent Journal ^ | April 7,2016 | PARKER LEE

As Jane would learn, her perfect, new man had been sneaking in to her 10-year-old daughter “Michelle’s” room at night, molesting and abusing her.

Scarred, her daughter had become withdrawn and terrified of the world. As Yahoo! reports, however, that all changed when a group of rugged bikers — led by a man named Tombstone — showed up at her home one day. Tombstone and a group of his brothers and sisters were members of Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA). Even in her traumatized state, Michelle remembers the moment they pulled up on her doorstep:

“There’s just allthese bikes. There’s these huge, tall men and they were in their vests and their boots, huge beards and strong-looking women. They looked very tough.” Looks, however, can be deceiving. The tough-looking group had heard about the family’s situation and had made it their mission to not only protect the young family, butto help them heal. They were there whenever Michelle needed them, whether it was standing by her side while she was testifying against her one-time stepfather in court, or spending the night in front her house on nights she couldn’t sleep from fear.

Years later, having since graduated from high school with honors and attending college, Michelle says they have all become, in a single word: family:

BACA isn’t just some local California group of kind-hearted bikers, however. It’s an international organization, reach:ing from the Southern U.S.: To Canada And even Switzerland and Germany:

I met some Bandidos at a party in Galveston. They were not the nice variety of bikers. They were drug dealers.

Yes, bikers can be good or evil. We got them all in Texas.

I could not see the film because I don’t “sign in” to Wikipedia.

Dear Mr. Soros and Mr. Cruz: Meet some of the guys who are coming to meet your paid mobs in Cleveland. Good luck.

I am absolutely certain God will not require any assistance on Judgement Day.

Personally, I would consider it an honor if I were sorted among those who physically fought against actual evil, rather than amid those who delude themselves that thoughts are more powerful than deeds, in the physical realm

Not Chinese in the least bit.
Not every American grew up immersed with bikers and their culture. I see a tatted up “tough guy” wearing black leather and looking for trouble with his buddies.

IMO, not much else to decipher from that.

We have a close friend that is a Vietnam Veteran and an ordained minister who is also a biker and rides with other bikers. I had never met his biker friends until last year. Right after my brother passed away our biker friend and about 20 of his biker friends came to my home to make sure I was doing ok and offer to help me if I needed anything.

I was not only really close to my brother but I took care of him while he died from cancer, that is why our friend was so concerned about me. I sat on the patio and visited with them for hours, they all seemed like very decent people. Their visit made me feel so good, there is no way it could have been wrong.

Yes they all had the “biker look” but looks can be very deceiving.

Looks are always deceiving and I’m sorry about your brother.
I chimed in because for me, your average suburbanite, my only encounters with bikers have been on the receiving end of their road rage.

Wow!... Talk about a broad brush and a narrow mind.

a tatted up “tough guy” wearing black leather

Does NOT equal:

looking for trouble with his buddies.

I'll admit there are outlaw gangs, just as there are non-biker gangs. Many or most bikers are veterans, cops, or firemen, or just plain motorcycle lovers. There are riders from every walk of life including Christian and LEO motorcycle groups. I really doubt you have anything to fear from a typical HOG member.

I'm not too crazy about the tattoos, but there is a biker look, and should you find yourself in the unfortunate circumstance of sliding down the pavement on your back...that black leather hide becomes very beautiful.

It also keeps you quite warm even when riding in cold weather or rain.

Maybe it’s unfair. I said in an earlier post I’m a noob when it comes to bikers and that my few brushes with them (whatever their affiliation may be) have all been unpleasant road rage incidents.

I couldn’t even begin to tell the difference between a Hog or a Hells Angel, so chalk it up to my naivete I suppose.

We get the majority of our opinions based on our experiences.

I am sure bikers are like any other group, some are good and some are bad.

I have been on a motorcycle once in my life. A friend who was in the Navy took me to Mirimar to watch the Top Gun pilots fly years ago.

He warned me to be brave and not make any sudden movements because some people in cars would target bikers. I had no idea what he meant but some idiot in a car actually threw a carton of milk at us! We had in no way done anything to that person! So I am sure just as there are drivers that are horrible to bikers there are bikers that are horrible to drivers.

Thoughts are exceeding important because they guide deeds. Why you should want to block out certain thoughts that are not of themselves evil, sounds exceeding curious indeed!

One ride and you got a carton of milk hurled huh. I guess bikers might have had a bad reputation in those parts? I used to ride till I couldn’t afford to keep the bike, and never got anything hurled at me, though I did get barrelled into by a van driven by an inattentive man once.

But what if, instead of that, God told you that you had been fooled by one of Satan’s tricks, and that while He was going to have mercy on you concerning it because you acted ignorantly in unbelief, you definitely did not rack up a reward that way?

Are you affiliated with these folks, by the way?

I think a paucity of gospel belief has created an opportunity hole for secular BACAs and the like. Like some decades ago it created an opportunity hole for the Mafia (news flash: the bible never said don’t drink, it said don’t drink to EXCESS).

I think their role is UNDERSTANDABLE from that viewpoint. They are filling holes where righteousness was weak. However they’re doing it with self righteousness. UNDERSTANDABLE may mean forgivable; it doesn’t mean excusable. It doesn’t mean we do not have an urgent onus to do better than this.

At the least I would want to know how an explicitly Christian version of this would look. I believe first of all that it would only bring itself in where it was as assured as possible that God wanted it in a particular situation. And it would use explicitly gospel criteria to decide whether to continue. Just BECAUSE it is so easy for them to intimidate means they should use their power carefully. As the bible says (there’s a pesky “thought” again), shall the axe boast against the One who swings it?

You are making a lot of broad statements with no examples. Can you give a single example? I think that would be helpful. I did not know that Jesus Christ was a big fan of due process, I thought that was an American phenomenon.

Thanks in advance.

Oh, God is not a big fan of fairness? Mea culpa, though if God is like that then He only deserves contempt anyhow.

For starters, in Old Testament law, “Nobody shall be put to death on the testimony of fewer than two witnesses.”

We can already see the rudiments of due process here.

Also following the history of the Hebrew people, the tribunals were delegates of Moses. That implies a formal relationship to trusted religious authority.

I think you are trying to defend the indefensible. This sounds too good, kind of like omniscient Supermen or Batmen that never erred.

Those who do not remember history are proverbially condemned to repeat it. I thought it was liberals who went off half cocked like this.
