Cruz may have bamboozled the citizens of Texas in 2012 Senate bid

On March 10, Attorney Stephen Pidgeon, lead counsel for the North American Law Center sent a letter to Texas Secretary of State Carlos H. Cascos on behalf of a legal citizen and voter in Texas, as well as in the public interest of the nation, questioning if, when Cruz ran for, was elected and certified by the Texas Secretary of State as the new U.S. Senator representing the people of Texas, he was a legal citizen of Canada.

As of this writing, Pidgeon has not received a response.

Ted Cruz

Attached to his letter, Pidgeon provided a copy of Cruz's birth certificate indicating Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz, was born on Dec. 22, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

He also attached a copy of Cruz's Certificate of Renunciation of Canadian Citizenship, whereas Cruz "formally renounced Canadian citizenship and pursuant to the Citizenship Act will cease to be a citizen on May 14, 2014."

When Cruz was born on Dec. 22, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Canada didn't allow for dual citizenship, indicating Cruz was only a citizen of Canada.

" I agree he is a U.S. citizen...but he is NOT natural born..."

Also a different issue than the one I responded to. What I responded to was a sentence that very clearly said that Cruz somehow couldn't be a US citizen because *Canada* didn't allow dual citizenship.

A completely different issue than the one I was responding to

you responded to comment 8, and I quote... “Whether he was a citizen of the US is a matter for US law, not Canadian law...”

I provided the US law that states that for constitutional purposes, Cruz is a naturalized US citizen who entered the US as a ‘nonquota’ immigrant. Is there some part of the definition of ‘immigrant’ that is hard for you to comprehend? Is there some part of Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4 that governs the nationality of Ted Cruz that remains foreign to your understanding of the difference between natural born and naturalization?

I can’t believe we got this far, on this thread, without somebody mentioning their favorite 18th century Swiss bureaucrat.

Didn't cruz play the part of pee wee herman in those disney movies.

****************

Heck Cruz isn't tall enough... Pee Wee is 5”10” tall and Cruz is a couple inches short of that.

Alberta-born Sen. Ted Cruz has given up his Canadian dual citizenship. The renunciation became official on May 14, 2014 roughly 9 months after he learned he wasn’t only an American.

I find this hard to believe he didn’t know it.

No, I wrote comment 8, in which I was responding to this, by quote:

"When Cruz was born on Dec. 22, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Canada didn't allow for dual citizenship, indicating Cruz was only a citizen of Canada."

That statement says Cruz was only a citizen of Canada because Canada didn't allow for dual citizenship. Which is nonsense because Canadian law doesn't control who is a US citizen. As I pointed out.

That is because he is irrelevant. The Supreme Court ruled in 3 different cases from 1868-1884 that the language of the Constitution defines who a natural born citizen is, one who was not a subject/citizen of any foreign nation at birth. Ted Cruz does not meet this qualification, therefore, he is ineligible to be president. the only way to be a citizen is to be born in the one of the states of the US, thereby from birth, you are a citizen of the state of your birth as well as that of the United States as long as your parents are also citizens of the state in which you were born.

Rubio has his own problems as the statutes that governed his nationality at birth were crystal clear, children born to Cuban refugees in the United States are aliens at birth. Congress was very specific in the language so there would be no confusion. But alas, no one actually reads the laws anymore, they are all to happy with the myths that don't actually require them to use the brains God gave them.

And since Cruz is running for president of the corporation known as the United States, it’s not applicable, it’s what the corporate officers decide...

To which you are wrong because at the time of Cruz's birth, BOTH his parents had filed for and were lawful “PERMANENT” residents of Canada awaiting to perfect their Canadian citizenship. And since Raphael Sr. was NEVER a US citizen, the place of residence & the legal status of the father absolutely governed the child's nationality, 100%.

Just because a statute is retroactive, does not make it so at the actual time of birth. The US government has not authority to govern the status of children born to foreigners in foreign countries. ZIP! And that is why the CRBA states, ” A Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) is official evidence of United States citizenship, issued to a child born abroad to a U.S. citizen parent or parents, who meet the requirements for transmitting citizenship under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).. “

Hence the reason the law defined Cruz as a "nonquota" immigrant at the time the child was brought to the US. And so it is not surprising that rather than release his paperwork, Cruz has elected to use some of the same sleaze ball establishment lawyers to hide the fact that he is not constitutionally qualified to assume to the office of the president AND vice president.

I don’t know how Trump supporters find these blogs trying to take down Cruz. The MSM will bring up none of this stuff - not the DC madam that is fake, or the BC which is fake, or the NE which is fake, or that Cruz is stealth NWO because Heidi works at GS which is fake, during the general election between Hill and Ted. It is all fake and silly.

"You birther nuts have no knowledge of the laws of Canada or the US.

It would be nice for you to explain what laws justify Cruz's Natural Born Citizen status. Even a quick summary would be good. Do you have a link? Tea leaves?

If Cruz needed a passport to go to Britain, as a Canadian citizen, he would have no trouble.

Really? Occums razor is applicable to politics too.

If now an alleged SECOND person with questionable pedigree with respect to qualification for the office is able skirt it without so much as a squeak from those running the show is it corruption, or the citizenry just doesn’t understand the rules?
