It would be more effective if the doggy door was large enough for a St. Bernard or Great Dane.

Security is only as strong as its weakest access. . . I had a house that the previous owner had such a doggy door installed. . . and a large kid or a small adult could easily crawl through it and did. Luckily they were scared back out by the infrared motion detector alarm system.
