Do you have any idea who all the high school kids behind him, were, with one bald guy peeking out from among them?
I don’t know what venue this is at—maybe a school!
At a Christian school. The students all went, and knowing the schools who host such events, the parents were strongly encouraged to go as well as a way to participate in the process with their children. If Cruz had a free-style type rally in a non-secular venue ... I am guessing the turn out would have been about like the one in the Bronx.
This school gym can hold up to 1300 according to the ad. So, students, a bunch of parents, and some locals. I didn’t see any photos showing the full size of those attending.
I just found this in a partial article for the local paper:
“Cruz appeared at a campaign rally of nearly 1,000 supporters Thursday”
There were 1300 tickets given out. The student body attended. Less than 1000 turned out including the students.
I haven’t seen photos, but there was one very brief camera shot at the end of the speech when Cruz stepped off the platform, and there were few people in that frame.
